Rumble Bee. (Getting cannibalized for the greater good)

I have the DOM for my basic main hoops in the cage. But not enough to do the whole cage... I'll have to get probably 2 more sticks of 2" (figuring in the tuition pile) and a couple sticks of 1.5" or 1.75" for straight sections to use as triangulation...
I only have bender dies for 2" and new dies won't be in the cards for a while.

I had planned on making a verticle mount for the bender but that requires some sort of hydraulic power... So I'm just going to do a basic stand and ratchet bend it for now :doah:. Not sure how long that'll last lol, but I'm kind of looking at it as a motivated way to work off some of this flab I'm gaining lol.

Before I kind of needed a mobile mount because I didn't own a good place to mount a stand. I do now :waytogo: and I can always add hydraulics later even with that stand.

I finally got back to this thing lol.

I have working wipers. :woot:
I used the 'lube the linkage' method mentioned by someone in here.. the linkages we're tight for sure. And I got the wires hooked up to the original harness so it works from the column switch. I do have to home it myself though.... Not a big deal.

I tried finding new linkages so that they were the right ones. But LMC is the only place to get new that I found, and they're $70. These will do until I find a used set to fix up.

Now I have to find and hook up all the washer setup for mud purposes.

I want to make a setup for HEAVY mud.. but I'm still in limbo about this things near future.

If you want really badass, there are hydraulically driven water pumps that you could tie into the power steering.

Probably more money than it is worth, and packaging would be difficult...

I have one of these at work rigged down to a 3/4" hose. Puts out some water. Just need 120 power and a barrel full of water in the bed and you are set LOL. 2" sump pump.

I'm thinking more along the lines of a second gas tank, on the passenger side, with a GOOD electric fuel pump, pushing through 1/2" or 3/8" tube up to a pair or trio of pressure washer nozzles in the cowl

Oh... And the wipers will only really work if it's wet.... Other wise they drag on the glass and stop mid way:dunno:

I should only need em when it's wet... But I find that odd

I have 2 other motors. But I get the feeling it has something to do with the new style motor and old style transmission linkages. I just gotta wait and see what turns up for donor vehicles between this and the Crewcab. Steal the linkages/pivots from it if I can

Or pay the $70+shipping for new and deal with it

I started on this again. I'm getting ready to paint the bed yellow to match. I've removed all the trim, and marked out the angles to cut the fenders out for a front rear similarity.

Plus hopefully while it's in the shop I'm going to pull the welded front diff out and scrap it. I may replace it with the open one from my crew cab. Or try and get a Detroit in there.... Will a Detroit act like a welded diff with no hydro assist steering? As it is I can't steer at all when in 4x.

Theres a JY near here that is all trucks.. they have a Detroit locker carrier for a d60 that I can get for cheap. I'm may try and swing that.

For the bed I'm going to get matched paint for the outside, and spray can black the inside.

Hopefully I'll get most of it done soon
