Rustoleum <$100 Paintjob, Hardtop is Done

Did you do any sanding at all? It looks like you just took off the trim, maybe scotch-brited it and sprayed. While I'm aiming for a better end result, I'm slightly jealous of how freaking quick you got it done.

I took off what trim was fairly easy, but left the door handles and rear window crank.

I sanded the body in a single evening, the hardtop took about 20-30min on a separate day. While at HF picking up the rest of the supplies I grabbed two packages of sanding sponges (1 coarse/1 med) since they were on sale. I used two of the coarse up on the hardtop and 4 of the coarse on the body. Still have that whole pack of Med grit left....

After that I wiped everything down with Marine Clean, and the rinsed it with the water hose. Let it dry.

I was out masking off around 8:30am. I managed to get it masked and sprayed (single coat) before I went into work at noon. Trim/bumpers/etc. went back on that evening after work (got off at 6) and I was driving it to a friends house around 9:30. :D
