Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

never did big tires like that before.. I learned on the first one, go BIG or go home... lot of rim to fill up...

I only had to use about 2 sec of spray directly into the tire, leaving just a bit on the rim for my 39.5's but I only inflated to 20# that way as well...a quick pop and they seated on my old aluminum slotted rims.

funnernhe!! :woot: :haha: wish I had more to do...

Hahahaha...that's awesomer!

yeah, no core... it's all I have here at the house.. I had to have it hooked on the fronts.. the first one didn't take cuz it lost the bead so quick that I had to have it on and ready to go.. the backs I was able to just hook it up after the boom... why?

Don't watch videos, just curious. I have never had good luck doing it without a clip on chuck.

it was easier with just leaving it on... have to be super quick when ya have it off...

actually, I just realized that scale was starting at 15 or so lb's.. :haha:

so it should have been about 130 for that tire/rim.. and the fronts are a bit lighter, maybe 125ish...

same reason Kert did it IIRC, strictly cosmetic... I DESPISE the look of DRW front rims...
I am the same.
I can't stand dually fronts.
I'm putting single in the front and dually rears even going 19.5" rears and 16" fronts.
Not the most logical but works better in my case.

TOO LATE! Lol! I'm going to look at it right now!

I promise when we get back to that, it'll be business only...

as this one sidetracks into offtopicness... :doah:  :haha:

eh, updates tomorrow... I've been pounding some good work on this one lately... just a few more reasonable weather weekends will really help...

trying to see if I can sneak the $400 for new SRW hubs in as a x-mas gift to me... :haha:

You could alter your dually hubs.

how? I know the rotors are swappable with some drilling... I'm looking for easy here.. even if it's a few more shekels.. I've got enough labor flying around already.... :haha:

and here's how the tubebed width worked out to the meat... it's a solid inch or so wider... but the smaller lower tubes are going to be in some from that tube, so it should work out well....

it'll prolly help out with the flap sitcheashun too.... :haha:

pretty sure I'm gonna put a zero rate in the back, but I wanna get the front done so I can see how it sits.... I definitely wont mind moving the axle up 1.5"... but I couldn't run it now anyway, the u-bolts are too short with that spring pack in there to add the zero rate..

gotta finish up some stuff with the back hangars and winch mount too...
