Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

I keep telling myself, yeah it's red, cool, I wont paint the firewall... we'll see how that goes... :haha:

I really haven't envisioned until just now what that setup would look like going down the highway..

5th wheel black tubebed, bright orange Crew towing the copper K5...

Congarts on the sticker.
That red looks real good can't wait to see it all done.
I bet that thing is stiff in the back with that big ol spring pack and no weight.:haha:

as bad as you think it may be? double it..... :haha:

can't wait.. got all new cutoff wheels and snawzall blades this week...

the shocks are what really annoy me, but I need to do that all at once.. frame, steering box, x-over, 4" lift, shocks...

that'll be a rockin dungeon 3 day weekend coming up! :saweet::weld::hack::grind::yikes::pimp1::crewcab:

f*ck yeah, it would! :saweet:

now how do I get my family to buy it for x-mas! sis, it's art! :haha:

I tryed to buy one of them off that link you posted. And it said not available. Backordered indefinitely.

Can you at least get the order page to work? I want one too. Maybe we can swing a deal.

hey, I like dumb.... :haha:

the funny part was the passenger side of that thing was all scraped up with the mirror busted off... not too smart when ya can't park something the size of a shopping cart....

The type of people that drive one of those thing are the type of people that have no business driving anything at all...

 :haha:

8 hrs later, she sits 2" lower in the back and rides eleventy thousand x's better.....

I'll also be moving the axle up an inch and a 1/2" when I do the flip and shackles with a zero rate...

boy, that was a dirty day..... ton's of plasma and cutoff wheel... 5 out of 6 bushing bolts had to be cut out... so that was 10 cuts....

thanks... yeah, it looked stout all jacked up in the back as a flatbed, but the ride was ridiculous... this'll work good temporarily till the flip gets here...

it'll be going up about 5 more in the back.. 4" up front...

So your going to do 4" front springs, ashackle flip in the rear and in the process of adding the zero rate your going to ditch the block thats currently back there?

yeah, Kerts flip out back with 6" x tied shackles, ditch the block, zero rate..

up front, 4" TC springs, Fush and HD shackles... eventually, it'll probably be a 3" spring and zero rate and the axle moved up.. but I wont do that till I up the tire size...

What are the spring packs out of ? It does look good sitting more level now :waytogo: I'm sure the ride is night and day:D.

I have given up even trying to take out spring bolts any more, angle grinder w/ a 7" cut blade comes out :pimp: on a 4 1/2" grinder that is :D

I thought I was the only nut who did that, that's how I cut ss shafts out of the boats... spark show baby! :haha:

I like em on my 7" makita buffer/grinder too....

I was actually out of 7"s, so I had to do 3"s in the die grinder...

I've come to the conclusion that tomorrow, I'm gonna put the other 2"s of spacer in the flatbed that I had originally bought the bolts for.. so it'll have 2 more inches clearance at the tires...

it's not so much doing it for that, tho I think it would look a bit better, it's moreso to get the fuel fills up at a better angle... they are VERY level, they fill "ok", but would be better with a bit more angle to the hose...

the tube bed will have a whole different approach to tire clearance, etc...

I didn't think I'd get it done that quick, and it was more cutting than I expected... free's up tomorrow for unplanned for stuff... hope the lift weekend goes that way... the back will be the easy peezy part of that.. both box supports up front, x-over, fush, springs, etc up front will be the bigger workload...
