question for the crowd......
something that came up recently, was an offer of someone to work on my logo/mallard /art for the doors....
now this person is a friend of a friend, who does dog portaits.... which I'm assuming is what would be referred to as photorealism.. I'm sure she has some talent...
but am I guessing that probably the ideal artist for me to have working on this would/might be a tattoo artist?
the job seems to have all that flavor.... got some lettering/banner type work with shadowing, etc of the company name....... got the art of the duck... looking for I don't want to say "cartoon-like" look, but more of a few, bright, colors" look, than "realistic, many color shades" feel... if that makes sense....

I think the tat guys might call that "traditional" iirc? going for that "ripping thru the sheetmetal" look familiar in tats too...
now I don't know much about tattoo artists... is it as simple as finding the right shop and having them draw something up? what could I expect to pay for just artwork? obviously, how involved and picky I am with the end results could vary it... but is this something I could get a tattoo guy to do for 4 or 5 hundy maybe?
eventually, I might consider it as an actual tat.. but it's main purpose is as a logo... where the pic could be scanned, the file could be enlarged and printed out on vinyl by someone like Scott and applied to the rig..
or am I better off contacting some other form of artist?
maybe I'll have the friend do a portrait of Malakai later....
