Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

that got pricey quick.... :doah:

not sure when I'll get back to the bumper at this point.. my sis just went thru very serious spine surgery yesterday, so my mind and efforts are elsewhere for now...

yup, 4500's too... bit of a haul for me, about 8 hr's.. would prolly truck freight stuff, if it was reasonable.. when I get some coin set aside for this, I'll have to give him a call... realistically, I could conceivable have a good bit to invest in this next sept/oct hopefully.. might be a good winter project for next yr...

thanks for asking guys....

I'm going to see her tomorrow...... they are gonna keep her in till early next week, than to a rehab facility... I talked to her yesterday.. she's in a good bit of pain, but in good spirits.. they found a bunch of unexpected fluid in there when they went to work on the nerves, discs... so they had to drain that off and they don't want her laying down, so she is in an upright position all the time... she has a pretty severe case of spinal stenosis heading down her back... hopefully this surgery works and her arms start working right again, and it holds off the migration for awhile...

thanks again for the concern.... :)

ROAD TRIP! We'll do the entire discography of Sabbath on the way up and Skynyrd on the way down!

FTR...... I have to say.... I'm beyond giddy in anticipation for Malakai's arrival... and he hasn't even been born yet... :doah::haha:

I actually went shopping at Petco... I read dog training books like they are Hotrodder....

anyway, sorry.. :haha: it's just a huge focus for me.....

working on the front bumper tomorrow, so maybe a boring steel pic or sumfin...... worked up my PRP DD'er seat order too..... $740 a pair for my extra fat pair o' seats....

question for the crowd......

something that came up recently, was an offer of someone to work on my logo/mallard /art for the doors....

now this person is a friend of a friend, who does dog portaits.... which I'm assuming is what would be referred to as photorealism.. I'm sure she has some talent...

but am I guessing that probably the ideal artist for me to have working on this would/might be a tattoo artist? :dunno:

the job seems to have all that flavor.... got some lettering/banner type work with shadowing, etc of the company name....... got the art of the duck... looking for I don't want to say "cartoon-like" look, but more of a few, bright, colors" look, than "realistic, many color shades" feel... if that makes sense.... :screwy: :haha: I think the tat guys might call that "traditional" iirc? going for that "ripping thru the sheetmetal" look familiar in tats too...

now I don't know much about tattoo artists... is it as simple as finding the right shop and having them draw something up? what could I expect to pay for just artwork? obviously, how involved and picky I am with the end results could vary it... but is this something I could get a tattoo guy to do for 4 or 5 hundy maybe?

eventually, I might consider it as an actual tat.. but it's main purpose is as a logo... where the pic could be scanned, the file could be enlarged and printed out on vinyl by someone like Scott and applied to the rig..

or am I better off contacting some other form of artist?

maybe I'll have the friend do a portrait of Malakai later....
