well I got this thing broken down to a housing and the diff. Outers look great..all clean frsh grease inside and the bearings look brand new. It could use new joints and some paint along with some brake work. The kingpins however are scored pretty badly so I'll have to tackle those. The center section had clean oil in it, and much to my surprise it is a 4.56 axle. WOO HOO now I am considering just locking it and regearing the rear. I am probably wheeling these 37's for awhile unless I come across a great trade for some 40's.

Just wanted to update this post with more good news. From the outside I thought this thing was going to be a basketcase, but it's looking up.
