Sara's hikey campy thread...

That thing sucks gas from the other cars around it while driving by :haha:

Maybe if I still have it this weekend coming and it's nice enough outside I'll take the back seat our and do some truck camping. That's actually a really nice idea

broken tent pole!

Almost forgot, I broke a pole this weekend. Sierra designs meteor light 2- so far I'm not getting good feedback on replacement poles.

Anyone have experience with it?

Great last memory with it too!

New light weight poles just don't seem to cut it in the long run. I bought some carbon fiber ones this year from the clymb and I broke the first set in a week. They replaced them but it's only a matter of time.

I've had my old heavy aluminum poles through the ringer since high school and they won't die.

More cleburne state park.

(This was by far the lamest of all the state parks I've been to... but it was a fun, private, intimate trip)

Why the heck is this double posting???? Anyway. Next trip was a day trip to Schertz, which is about 30 min north of san Antonio. Didn't have time for much, but this is the natural bridge caverns tour. I really enjoyed it.... I have like a zillion pics from this thing.... only posting a few. uploadfromtaptalk1403319469887.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403319499432.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403319541113.jpg

The next trip after that was a little weekend in San Antonio- was so great, went down there to see the boyfriend who is working there for the foreseeable future. That both sux and doesn't suck because I've really not explored that part of texas so I get kinda freebies since he has per diem and hotel covered. Went and did obligatory river walk stuff (which I ADORED) then went down to Mustang Island and Corpus Christie. Had some intense weather on the drive back- just narrowly missed a tornado in my little half top jeep- that was seriously scary....uploadfromtaptalk1403323371570.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403323422109.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403323447525.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403323477569.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403323501457.jpg

Got to ask, did your dog try to drink the ocean water? When I lived near the beach mine did the first time, but never did that again. Of course bringing fresh water for him to drink probably helped.
