Your '19 is pretty nice. Very clean and coordinated look. The new 6.6 gas engines are pretty sweet but they're wrapped in a really ugly package. I just can't get onboard with the new Chevy HDs. The GMC HDs are better but still not that great.

There is a few lower end HD gmcs on lots here, at 60k I'd rather not. A buddy just bought one at 69 and is a loaded gmc but still gas...yikes.. The chevy I can get for 52. Custom but with power seats and wheel controls in the gas or 60 in dmax. I'd honestly rather keep my 19 I guess

Well, I ordered through a dealer 3 hours away because they let me use my GM family discount and weren’t charging over MSRP to begin with.

I know a lot of the “waiting for chips” lot vehicles are stock or more standard order vehicles. When we figured out it was MSRP as the starting price we just decided to order.

Also, Yukon SLT’s with Max Tow, the big sunroof, the not black leather, 22’s, and no rear entertainment package aren’t common. Ours was asking to be built to spec. We found a few close builds but never a duplicate. Always with something that was a definite no.

I got ya, special build. I do see alot of the cheap trucks now tho with added features like power seats, audio wheel controls and the fancy tailgate.

I'm going to do a change, might only be a test or permanent. The front of my 19 over bumps is real harsh lately. The roads aren't getting any better. Digging more into it I have 3/4 of an inch before it hits the bump stops, it has sagged a decent amount. On top of that the preload adjuster is froze fast, just my luck..! I tried to heat the nut some, spray it for days and it won't budge. Either I'll pull em apart and change the nut and recharge em or send em back in.

In the meantime tho I'm doing trailboss cv shafts and the trailboss Ranchos with a 1.5. We will see how the ride goes with those, I might not put the icons back on. I know yea Ranchos but these are monotube and new so I'll bite the bullet and put em on. The next nice day it's game on..

Oooph, hate to see that from the Icons. Sagging and rusted up?

I vote Bilsteins!

Get those TB Rancho’s used?

I thought long and hard about a set of shocks and struts for $250 a while back. Stopped when I realized the Bilsteins were $200-250 more.

Ranchos are new in the box, 175 for all 4. Actually doing the job right now. Lol

What exactly is the difference between a regular Z71 and a Trailboss? I know the trail boss sits about 2" higher but I thought it was just like a factory leveling kit or is there more to it?

Really, that’s about it. GM designed the suspension to be able to accommodate the “leveling” without sketchiness. Only other different part are the cv shafts.

Rob, have any issues with the stock axle shafts or just being proactive?

No issues, the boots even still look good yet. No grease outside the boot which I'm surprised. The trailboss cv is alot larger, better for a bigger angle. Right now on the stops there's no binding.

I have the rc 1.5 trailboss level and the 2.0 motofab, I did the 2.0 today as a test. It's a preload spacer that adds 1 1/8 lift plus the bottom 7/8. I left the icon ucas on too. If it's too much I'll take the bottom spacer out.

So now it has the rancho trailboss struts with the 2.0 level which is a preload spacer and a bottom spacer. I did the rear shocks too which I know I'll hate.

On a test drive on some harsh roads the front end does really well, actually better than expected. The rear isn't bad but not great. Better than all super firm tho. It doesn't handle bad either. A week or so ill know better.

It sits now measurement wise from the ground to the fender 42 rear, 42 1/4 front. It will settle some more which will be perfect.

I bet some of your front issues come from so much lift.

Looked into any diff drop spacers?

Looks good though. What size tires?

I didn't have any issues with the 3.5, even worked fine in auto. Only problem was with the icons rusting. If the adjuster would of moved I would keep em on. Why the change tho honestly I'd rather more height so my 35s clear and a softer ride. Ranchos aren't the greatest I know but I hated the bilsteins on the hd. The firm/ stiff suspension is what I'm staying clear of.

Diff spacer can't be done without cutting, I'm not ready 4 that yet. 35 12.50 20 bfg km3s.

Huh. I didn’t realize you couldn’t spacer them. I know on the 07-18 frames you could put in the small diff drops.

I have it half in my head to go 35’s but then I’d really need more than just a speedo recal. Gas is pushing $4 a gallon…****…

Yea broke 4.00 here too, thank Brandon voters..lol. with 35s I average 14s around town and 19 on the highway. I have the pulsar , so the afm is turned off and the speedo is calibrated. Mine is tho a 6spd so better mileage would be with the 8 or 10.

Rc did a 3 inch lift in 2019, it had a new xmember you bolted in with a diff drop. They discontinued it and started a 3.5 without it. Only other diff drop is with complete lifts where it's all dropped.

Thinking Bilsteins for 2” lift with a set of TB blocks and 275/70R18’s for this round.

Start looking for some axles with 3.42’s. Heard the 3.0L diesels have 3.73’s so maybe that. Then 35’s.

That way a 1 inch block or it will have alot of rake or set em at 2.5.

I have these 2” blocks so I’ll probably use them. Might go 2.5” up front. Not sure. See how it all works out.

Long term I have thoughts of a Deaver mini pack in the rear.

I thought about it too, I have sumo springs now for weight. The softer spring rate would probably be perfect.

Mine now is 4 and 2, if the rides ok and I agree with the change I'll do a 2.5 rear. Or take the 3/4 lower front out..lol

Oh, do your Sumo’s touch at ride height or are they still free of the axle?

Thinking about a set of them but the stock height ones. With the lift they’d be poor man’s air bumps.
