SBD"s (running) 69 Blazer updates (The 1st year)

Lookin good:waytogo:

I can't wait to get a cage in mine so it doesn't creak and groan like crazy when I try this stuff:whistle: Just too much stress on the frame/body of mine with that much lift and no cage to stiffen it up.

right on man! can't hardly pass up an wall like that without trying it. :pimp:

man, I hear that.

So after much deliberation I have decided to get some sand tires for the "Anti-Prius" I just ordered 4- 32" Desert Masters http://kartek.com/Product/Tires/Sand%20Tires.html
Along with 4 custom 10" wide Rally wheels from a company called Wheel Smith out of Corona, Calif http://www.thewheelsmith.net/CustomWheels/RallyeWheelsAccessories.html

I know you say why not the 35's? Because I wanted the clearance (Extra 1/2") as well as the gearing might get affected and I just like it as it runs now.
And Yes I an getting them Powder Coated Kawasaki Green. I also had the back spacing changed on 1 set to 2 1/2" so they would match the front width stance that I need to run 2" spacers to clear my shocks.
I also know these rallys are the car type not the truck rallys but they did not offer the truck style and I did want steel wheels and they said they could not widen the truck style that I run for my DD set.

That tire looks bad ass! :thumb:

My dad and I used to get rally wheels widened at a Friends machine shop in B.C. where I used to live. He would cut the wheels on a lathe add a 2 inch filler strip and weld them back together.
Looked awesome but heavy! He charged 100.00 bucks a wheel to do them...that was 25 years or so ago. :haha:

I`ve always wanted another set,but he is retired now.
I should talk to my new machine shop Buddy's about it.

Can`t wait to see what that setup will look like on your blazer. :pimp:

Ugh, link wont work to see the sand tires..... Im so upset :doah:

I would like getting a set for the rear of mine, just the very small paddle type, what did you dish out for a set?

Sweet, I think id like the sand blaster style, to put just in the rear :waytogo:\

But those tires should hook up great, and especially on all 4 corners. Stoked to see how they do, maybe ill have to get a set someday :thumb:

Looking at 2 weeks aprox. 4WD paddle set up I think I'll be able to sling some sand

You'd be smart to get a good set of goggles next...... and a red bandana to cover your nose and mouth, wild west style! :waytogo:

I think epic rooster tails are in your future.

Those tires should give you a lot of traction but I don't think they will throw any rooster, they don't have any scoop and the treads walls are flat. Should be a good all around sand tire. Let us know how they work!

MAN !!!!!! Don't even get me started:mad::mad::mad:. Ok after work can't socialize right now
I'm off the clock now. 10-12 days is what they said for the wheels to be made. 11 days in I called for a status report, they said they were welded up but nobody knew what color they were supposed to be power coated. I told them and they said sorry for the mess up and we will put a rush on them. 1week later I call to check and the guy who answers checks and tells me O those wheels we had a problem because you asked for too much backspacing and we did not know what to do because we can't put that much backspacing on a 10" rally (I was like WHAT there not at the powder coater's and worse not even welded up yet WTF? Again sorry for the mess up and well put a rush on them. Another week later they are still at the powder coater's and probably by Wed or Thurs at the latest. and it is now Thursday night and no call. It's been over a month. This company suc s and I most likely will be bad mouthing them to all my hot rod friends for years to come
