School me on HMMWV rims

You have to squeeze the hell out of it til it almost touches and makes a figure 8. Then I would put my weight on it with the tire sitting on another tire and push it through the other side. Would take a lil brute strength but I was 19 and it didn't matter as much then. The privates always had tire breakdown duties. We had to have 8 on hand at all times.

I think the black oxide will turn brown just sitting out in the snow. Is grade 8 really required? I like the looks of their zinc-plated nyloc ones.

I assumed they would be, but didn't know for sure. That makes it easy, he keeps his nuts and sends the 24 bolts to you with no nuts in exchange for 12 bolts with no nuts.

I obviously need to retread this when soberer. Because that is some funny sht right now. :haha:

I have 3 evenly spaced 24 bolt wheels with baja t/a's. I broke them down and took the run flats out so I can run the PVC inserts and noticed 1 wheel has the orange o ring and the other 2 have flats I guess is what they're called. They're orange like the o rings, but the are squished.
Does it matter if I run o-rings instead of the flat? I can get the o-rings at work as a freebie, the flats are around $40...

I believe 24 bolt o-rings are a style of their own and not compatible with regular round shoulder o-rings.

Did you read the whole description?

Orange is for aluminum wheels. Red for steel.
