Seen the new "Dirt Every Day"?

I think the trep is a great tire but honestly yea it would be nice to have some variety. The reality is that it is those companies that are paying for this stuff. I doubt Motor trend is popping for the bill to ship the truck and Fred up to Alaska. Maxxis has been a sponsor for a while.

And daystar as much as they just make plastic bits they also are paying for us to keep having free entertainment.

I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to buy their stuff but I appreciate that they are investing in this stuff.

Ps. Not insinuating that the nvrenuf doesn't understand all this, just the world we live in now and I would much rather companies pay for this than for glossy mag ads of mall crawlers

Man I never realized 4 linking a truck was so easy, only an afternoons worth of work. LOL!

I wish Interco would sponsor more stuff like this but I know they are tight with the freebies. Projects like this are cool but it's annoying to me to see whatever free tire was available put on it, just because it's big doesn't mean it's a good mud tire.

The new Trepadors are awesome , they kick the shit out of just about any Interco tire and they are actually round

The ORD poly body mounts I bought were Daystar, no issues with them. DIY4X also sells Daystar. As long as they support the offroad community they'll get my support.

I know it's all about the payoff, but I wish this show had more tech on it.

And I think the 42s are to big on this truck, with portals 40s would be fine.

More tech would have been nice to see, that's my only suggestion.

I liked the 42's but I thought the truck looked a little tall, then again everything in Alaska is tall for a reason.

I'm sure the Treps they used are a great tire but they don't have the large lugs and voids a typical good mud tire has, this seemed to be the type of terrain they were riding in. I know they're popular for west coast wheeling but is the tread pattern used better than a TSL or Bogger for the slosh and mud in Alaska? I've never been there or wheeled in snow anywhere for that matter, I've just never seen those tires used in that environment while I was web wheeling ( :D ).

I get the corp money thing and that these shows need the freebies to survive, that's why I was saying I wished Interco would participate.

Seriously they are that good , the guys that run street legal rigs up here are switching to treps. Both the rover and other TJ in the video are both on treps and they are NOT sponsored. My buddy Frank (TJ brute UTE) just ordered a set for his . And these are all guys who have run boggers , swappers , and even AG's

I know seeing them on tv and in he mags they don't look very aggressive, but in person they will give you a chub. The tread is super deep and the voids are pretty large not only that the sidewalks are just knarly

Yea the trep in person is an absolute beast. Keep in mind that there are two different versions. The trepador radial is quite a lot less aggressive (especially on the sidewalls) than the bias ply. Fred was driving the bias plys

Yes the Bias plys , I couldn't say anything about the radials.

Stephen you make a good straight man to Fred's goofyness

Looked like Fred could use a sway bar in the ARMY truck. He had a pucker moment out peeling around.

I thought it quite ironic that they had trouble getting the 8.1 to start up initially....seems like a trend ....although I have checked my grounds about 5 million times...it's not that easy for me

great episode...truck is sick all around. Lots of fancy parts thrown at it, but that's what this show is all about. I liked seeing the new portals get some air time, good to see ORD on there and their great products....and I know people are talking about the treps on this....I think those tires are so bad a$$.

Best episode yet

I chuckled at that too :D
