I talked about it and talked about it.so now it is happening!

Sure going to ask few more ?'s like wiring on compressor or if I can use Napa part # EC80.

So enough talking pic time!!!!

So going back together pump is stripped to get pulley all way back on steering pump.

Little pissed cause working hard and 93 out side feels like 98 with sweat dripping off my head as I work.

Guessing I am going to have to pick up another pump.

Are you using a regular puller/install tool or just a bolt and washer. If bolt and washer rent the tool.

About 1/4 inch or hair more away from where it needs to be. When try to tighten threaded part pulled out from pump.

Almost looks like it broke or is that the length it was before you threaded it into the pump. just going
by the illustration sheet.

Anyone know which way these go correctly? Pretty sure one goes to compressor side and other alt side.

was that bolt bottomed in the pump or is there more threads left. Might get a new bolt to screw into pump, with a nut and washer on it that last quarter inch. Worth a try.

they both go to the back of idler and to each side of manifold. curved side on manifold.

Put nut and washer on the bolt before you thread it into the pump. Hold the bolt head and turn the nut to tighten.

Will try tomorrow! Thanks for the idea.

if was anyone else's vehicle would have it figured out quick, seems like my own rides I forget simple thing's or make way harder to getting them fixed.

I did this a few years ago on my 86. For the alternator I used an adapter from ebay. They are around $12 and has been fine.
I think that's all I had to buy new. I had an 89 jimmy for a donor.

Any luck with the power steering pump. The pump mounting design on chevy's sucks.
