I, for one, am excited to see a real world wheelin truck on the cover. I have been a subscriber to every non-specific 4 wheelin Magazine since 1981 and still have all of the issues. Too many of the magazines have catered to what is the trailer queen show trucks and high dollar built trucks. I have recently learned that this "Cover Truck" is the wave of the future for Four Wheeler. They intend to cover more real world off road rigs and fewer of the show rigs. They have already mentioned in the Editors Forum the possibility of a Real Truck Challange, geared to something that is truly street legal and driviable everyday. I am also glad to see the market place finally opening up to us the "minority" wheelers. Guys with fullsize rigs doing something other than mud boggs. The market place has been focused on the Jeeps, Samurai's and Toyota's for too long and if this cover truck exposes the fact that fullsize rigs can be wheeled, then great. The fact that the article didn't mention CK5 is too bad, but thats not to say the owner may not have mentioned his affiliation with "our crowd" and it was omitted from the article. I know that they remove quite a bit of informatio for the sake of fitting it in. I am just glad to see a full size rig that is at least somewhat capable off road being on the cover and actually have more than one page of article. We have gotten our collective foot in the door, now we have to show the rest of the off roading world that fullsize is the only true way to go. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
