I agree completely!

You know it’s easy to lose the itch over time with the long build that doesn’t run. It’s fun to work on but it doesn’t run / you don’t expect it to run / it’s not going to run any time soon so after a while it’s just the norm. Man, when you can take it out and cruise or beat on it after a looong time that sure stokes the fire!

I’m betting since the intake was blocked the piston acted like a syringe and pulled in a bit of oil backwards through the valve seals and possibly the rings. Either way it’s running good now. Enjoy it and again glad it burnt itself off and appears no engine damage occurred.
