Shock mounting for your Dana 60

Kert, do you wish to take the guess work out for me and make some D60 shock brackets that fit as stock but thicker?

I got to look around a see if I have a 60 that still has the factory shock mounts on it for comparison.

Not sure if its the same as a 44 or 10 bolt.

They look just like the D44 and 10 bolt but i'm sure the tube diameter is different.

Yep, sure of that myself. If they look pretty much the same I believe I already have all the dimensions on file. I'll see what I can dig up for ya.

Any luck yet Kert?

Thanks for the reminder. I did find the drawings. I'll knock out a set this week if it works out.

PM me when you get a chance and we can work out the details.

are you or can you make any inserts to weld in (like stompers) to strengthen the ford 60 knuckles??

I need to finish Stomper's other side so we can finalize bending procedures and the it will be regularly offered part. Not sure when all this will happen. Trying to get back up to speed from christmas rush that is still in progress.

wow, would it also be offered for chevy knuckles?

Yep, at some point. I have another customer who is rapidly losing his patience with me on something I have been trying to do for him for a long time so i really need to get that done first.

If that customer reads this, please accept my apologies for it taking so long!!! Sincerely!!!

Ok, just checking. I need to do something here pretty quick though as my dual shock is eating through my U-bolt on the passenger side. :eek1: Once i get some new brackets the dual shock is coming off and just going to run a single shock up front and finally install my Furd shock towers with some 99012 shocks.

So basically your just wanting something heavier duty that what the stock one is that you have on there now. Just like what ya got but heavier, Gotcha!

exactly what I was looking for my shock mounting on the front...now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rear lower shock mounting on my D70...any thoughts? I need to mount them in like in the pic above...the shock tabs I bought from you aren't going to work.

What did ya buy? Radius tabs or flat bottom tabs? I'd think the flat bottom ones would work for ya to mount eye perpendicular to axle centerline.
