Shop build. HEAT!

These pictures are so awesome. I'm jealous.

No update for a while but things are still progressing. Had several jobs to do so they got done . Got the shop cleaned out again and finished all the drywall. Just gotta do a quick tape job on it

Next week some ceiling paint done. Lights starting to get installed and next weekend attic insulation.

As soon as I get lights up I'll finish the garage door.

Then paint the whole thing.

As soon as that happens stuff will be moving in to it's permanent home!

In 3 weeks heater is getting installed.

What type of heat are you getting?

I have a mini split and it is awesome and barely shows up on power bill being 220V.

Glad things are coming along your way Eric.

Plans for lift soon? Know you could knock some stuff out quick for people then yet it also benefit your projects/DD cars.

Waste oil heater. Big one too. It heats my buddy's quonset hut style shop that is bigger than mine with no insulation. R24 in the walls and R49 in the attic and I should be toasty

I have it all picked out lol. But I think it will still be a couple years. I'm actually starting to get known a bit for welding and off road stuff, so more jobs mean the lift will come quicker

Oh I like snow. My wife will tell you that and she is from MN.

So not all are panzys.

Awesome to hear.

Damn R49 serious stuff there.

So this morning at like 5:30 it was 22° here. Warmed up during the day but it can hit -15 to -20 here with alarming regularity. And that's ambient temperature we don't have much wind here.

Sasquaches like to stay toasty warm my friend lol! Cant blame him considering the frozen tundra he resides in lol!

Dang straight. I plan to try to keep it right around 50 to 55 in the shop, pretty much all the time

Awesome Eric. I really need to insulate the walls of my shop. One day.

Check out insulation contractors in your area Jesse. I could have gotten my insulation cheaper but it would have been a while before I had it all. There are also places that sell insulation that has been cut. Usually into 2-5 ft peices .

I could have saved a bunch of money if I didn't want to do it all in one shot

I like that temp range, too. Warm enough for the hands and cool enough that you’re not sweating buckets when the job gets physical.

We get about 6 weeks of it in Dallas.

I anticipate I'll be melting snow. But I have two ceiling fans going in too. So that should help with all that.

The heater I'm getting is 200,000 btu. In a shop with great insulation and no windows. Pretty sure I could get it HOT if I wanted too.

Pretty excited to find out!

50 at night so recovery to 60 in the morning does not take as long. Added $15 to our electric and gas bill combined. Worth every penny.
