Shop build. HEAT!

Ah... Is see... That way lol. Different than I was thinking... Yeah, done that too >.<

blue painters tape = SH!T

switch to the automotive grade yellow .

and if your not using house paint from a can with a brush then definitely no blue tape .

I went to frog tape. Seems to be pretty good

@sweetk30
Lol I was cursing the blue tape. Thinking man the green is just slightly more, not even frog tape just the normal green

Nowhere around here to get the yellow. I'll have to order some
ya body shop days i remember the paint guy b!tching up a storm if someone used blue and dropped off parts for him to paint .

So. Not a ton of progress been sick had several other things happening.

Anyway. I need to get my compressor put in plumbed and wired.

I would like to put it up on a shelf.

Dumb?

Vibration dampners on both sides of the shelf. But no supports to the ground.

It will be in a corner. The weight I'm not terribly worried about. But the vibration is my concern. I'd imagine my compressor weighs 6 to 800 lbs

If it was me I'd mount it on a way overkill shelf close to the floor, say 24". I'd use the vibe dampeners between the compressor and shelf, not shelf and wall. It'll be up high enough to drain it through a ball valve that can be routed to the exterior through a hole in the wall. Then build an enclosure around it for sound deadening.

You should build another building about 36x60 to put the compressor in, along with your waste oil tank. Then you’ll have room to put all the other crap you will accumulate in the next year and you’ll be able to keep your garage open enough to work in.

Zimmer has the size wrong, needs to 60x150

That's next spring. I wanna put my waste oil tank out there
waste oil heaters dont like cold oil . . . they get more cranky the colder the oil .

i would do a storage tank out side . but not the main . unless its a heated room off the shop .

i know when i use to pump oil up from outside storage it was a bit more cranky for the work day till it got warm to room temp . so we never pumped outside cold oil up to the heater tank other than in the early am start of the day unless the tank was dead low .
