Should I drive 50 miles to go look at this winch?

thats 2 warn 8274's w/snatch blocks tryin to pull me out...it took a BIG track hoe to get me out...there was a telephone pole bout 20' n front to my left as u can c n tha pic below...if i'd had my winch on my truck, with the 2 snatch blocks i have, i'd have gotten out w/o any problems...this was my reason for overkill...

i bet a hi-lift jack with a good base, could have gotten you out by lifting the rear then using the winches. or what about using snatch blocks off the telephone pole back to you? couldn;t the other trucks get around to the left?

there's a long story behind this...the guys trucks who had the winches were older guys n didn't want a younger guy (me) telling them how to winch...i think they couldve gotten me out doing several other things, but they did it thier way n i stayed stuck...they didn't even have thier winches hooked to good batteries...their trucks kept dieing n, well LONG story...all i needed was a lil tug from the track hoe n once i had a lil momentum, i almost ran into it when i came out...

Allright fellas I found a XD9000 winch for $400. Here is what the ad says

"here is a very good winch that i dont need anymore put on a new motor 6 months ago and has fairlead and remote included cable is in good shape ready to be put to work"

What do you guys think?

First off, that is the XD9000I (integrated controller). That is a good price for that winch. Just have to remember though that since it's the integrated version it is harder to do a hidden winch if you ever decided to.

what he said... it's a little newer model I believe than the regular xd9000... looks like a good deal...

here's the regular xd9000... well, with the spool lever clocked...
