Shrunken Ned...

Another vote for a stock pump working fine. In fact, my old pump went out on me, so I bought a reman. The reman went to **** in short order (it whined when I first put it on). So thew other day I stuck and old stock pump on it from an engine core that was just sitting around. Works fine. I do have a decent sized cooler.

My cooler I am going to run will end up being about that size. Glad to see the stock pumps work well.

End of hi-jack: As you were:popcorn:

lets remember I'll be running full hydro and 42s, not ram assist with a factory box. My concern with the stock pump was turning like a snail and if I increased the fluid capacity it would just make it worse. I was just gonna mod the flow rate and leave the pressure alone. I've got a couple of cooler options to go with and I want to do a bigger remote reservoir.

PS got my shifter sticker...thx Chris

Couple more I forgot. I like the cooler mounted vertical like that.

Here's my hood ornament and a short story on how the truck got named "Shrunken Ned"

The back story: When my boy was six we went to Disney World for his first time. He was a huge Indiana Jones fan at the time. All we talked about was how great the ride was gonna be and he decided he would go on that ride first. We got to the park, went straight to Indiana Jones and got on. It scared him absolutely to death. Like eyes clenched, head down, white knuckle to death. When we walked out he said "I am never going on that ride again!!!!"

In an effort to help get him past it, we walked across from the ride entrance to the Jungle Ride/Indiana Jones gift shop and went inside. I hoped mabe seeing all the cool stuff would make it not so scary. If you've ever been in there you might have seen the fortune telling machine of the British explorer whose a shrunken head wearing a pith helmet. His name is Shrunken Ned. I wasn't paying much attention to the details at the time and my boy asked me what that was? I explained it was fortune telling machine and he asked me for 50 cents to try it. I gave him the change and then walked off to look at stuff.

After a bit, he ran up to me and said "Ok I'm ready to go." I said ok. Then he said "NO, I'm ready to go back on Indian Jones. I TALKED TO SHRUNKEN NED AND HE TOLD ME I SHOULD FACE MY FEARS. So I'm going again." I was like???.....ok lets go. We rode it and he kept his eyes open the entire time (cept for the part where you have to close your eyes or you get turned to stone). We rode it 2 more times during that trip and every other ride in both parks. He went on them all with no fear.

So Shrunken Ned became kind of a family hero. When he was having a problem my wife or I would remind him of what Ned said. When It came time to name the truck, Ned came up and it was a no brainer. I looked around and found a shrunken head shift nob on Ebay. I threw some orange paint on it and its going on the hood.

I would move the cooler out closer to where you running the lines to the axle. It would get it away from the header and engine heat.

Plus you got nothing in the front anyway.

eh, napa gold is black for good color coordination, and the same as the wix.. ;)
