i post the pics from my phone..it has to do with where the pics are saved on the phone. I figured it out with the last one
its a a star head bolt and prob metric (head like the old jeep bolts)..not sure on the size ill have to look when I get home from work, but the headrest back seat bolts/holes are the same size as the bottom cushion
I had my concern over the spa tubing, but hoped the temp was factored in on the choice. At least you know.Today was one of those good and bad days. I went to the hydro fittings store in the city and picked up all my fittings and hoses for the hydro steering. Talking with the owners son who was helping me figure out what I needed. Turns out we know a few of the same people. He worked 11 years as a machinist for Dutchman axles and machined a ton of stuff for ORD. pretty good chance he machined the parts in my doubler..anyways, out comes the phone and I'm showing them my build pictures. His uncle comes out from the back and hes checking out the pics too. At about the same time they both go.."hey, your not using that polyethylene spa tube for the water hoses are you?" I'm like yeah..why?. Well you might wanna rethink that. we sell that stuff and its only rated to a max temp of 140 degrees..after that it pretty much starts to melt into a puddle. I'm like..awesome...So along with my fittings I walked out with 20 feet of new inch and half diameter rubber radiator hose at 6 bucks a foot.
So the Bad was I ended up spending a 120 bucks I wasn't planning on and if you factory in the cost of the spa tube its more like 250. However, The Good is it probably saved me from an epic"that guy" event at blazer bash. I'm pretty sure there isn't a trail fix for replacing 20 feet of water hose. I got the spa hose all pulled out and replaced with the radiator hose this afternoon. Actually turned out better way better. Got half the hydro done but need to exchange two fittings for different style 90s on the high pressure side. So I'll do that tomorrow morning on my way to drop off the driveshafts to get lengthened
Greg, never ask such a thingPictures of the new hose?
Greg, never ask such a thing
Where did you go for for the fittings? I have to get my hydro plumbed and it'd be nice to go somewhere rather than have to get the stuff online.
