since its obvious....

The ones I had looked like an older (pre-KM) BFG MT. They were GOOD tires. I drove that runner everywhere, it climbed like a billygoat- More than once our cooler would fall out the back window. They were pretty tough too, once, after a 15 minute donut in a muddy and rocky pit, I drove several miles on a flat to the repair shop. I had em patch it and never had any problems. They were OK in mud, I tried to stay out of the deep stuff. When I couldn't I'd hit it as fast as I could, and never got stuck. I go through tires quickly, I probably put 15K on em and they were probably at 50% when I sold that thing.

Goodyear MTR's. I just replaced a set with another. 43,000 miles. if I had rotated them more often or not wheeled them they probably would have gone a lot farther. great on every type of surface. low noise until they got really low on tread.

I am not easy on tires. this is the first set that has lasted past 20K. I tow with them, wheel with them, show off with a little smoke, haul a lot of weight. You get what you pay for. These are some of the most expensive tires in my size, worth every penny.

:haha:I dont know what this guy was smoking when he wrote this but, I can say from personal experiance anything interco will not last worth a **** if you do that much city driving.:eek1:
I personally run 33-12.50-15 BFG All Terrains and I've taken them in deep muddy clay, knee deep snow, as well as the rocky terrain in Moab. And I still have yet to get stuck or find an obsticle i cannot climb. Also I've worked at Discount tire for three years now and from all the experiance knowlege I've gained there I'm tellin ya BFG A/T's are your best bet all around. :wink1:
BFG mall terrains may work good out west but they aren't worth s**t when you get in the mud. I've only got about 6,000 street miles on them. They've been great on the street very little vibration. And the rears aren't even balanced.(these tires were difficult to balance)

I even drove it three hours on the highway to get to the trail, wheeled, and then drove three hours back, no complaints. I've only gotten stuck once with these tires. I just wish they made them in a 38 or 39 cause im going bigger next year.

just click the link to the video in my sig if you doubt BFG All Terrain's performance in the mud.

Im suprised at all of the people who are happy with their BFG Mud terains. I had a set of 33's on my truck and I absoultely hated them. They were so loud I couldn't hear the person next to me while I was on the freeway. I had a set on my dodge that hardly lasted me. Someone pushed me off of the road on that truck and it got put out of alignment. It took me a week to get to the rack and half the tread had been chewed off.(and it wasn't out of alignment that far.) Maybe I have just had a bad experience... *shrug*

i like that video. there was some soft mud in that place. they do clog up when there is less water, but so doesnt everything else unless you got a swamper style tire.

ya, well i`ve only been wheelin twice, not with ats, and i`ve gotten stuck both times:D

Another vote for the SSR's. Near TSL performance in mud and stuff, but MUCH better on the road with less noise. Two of my buddies are running them now instead of TSL's cause of their street driving requirements, and have no complaints.

who makes the ssrs??

i`m thinking of either cooper stts, bfg at`s, or good year mtr`s....what do you guys think?

I'll never buy another Badyear tire as long as I live and BFG ATs have never impressed me.
I know barely anything about the Cooper STTs but I'd be willing to give them a shot, if the price is right.

Interco makes the ssrs. Of those three i'd vote for goodyear mtr's, but then again just about every lifted jeep on the planet has those, so i'd go with Trxus Mt's cause you don't see them everyday
