I would go with the bfg m/t's.

I had a set on my 83 3/4 diesel and got 55K out of them.
i heard those were a little pricey...i`ll check those out as well...i think what i might do is this....spend the 6-700 for the trxus mts, then see if i can sell my current tires, or do a partial trade for some good 33x12.5 a/t in case if i need to do a lot of driving...

I run at's on the street and these on the trail:D

They are 33X13.5-16 LTB's on 16X10's
The ltb's are around $140 each and you can get some cheap steelies or find some used wheels cheap too:D

if this changes anyones opinions, i only put about 10k or less a year on my truck....if i know i have to drive alot, i use my moms scion xa:D

steve kibbe, what do you do, change tires when you get to the trail, or swap before you leave to go the trail??

Well, the pic taken was my first real wheeling trip with my K5.
I drove 2 hrs on the hwy with my at's then swapped them over.
I got lazy and didn't bother to swap them before I drove home, so it was a loud trip.

If I didn't have to drive as far, I would have just mounted them at home, but seeing as it was a few hrs away I waited.

I guess it all comes down to how well you want to do on the trail. I had open diffs front and rear and didn't have any problems, which I contribute mostly to the tires due to the stockness of my blazer(as well as Chevy making a great vehicle)

yea....i only drive about an hour to get to any of my wheelin spots....so far at least...i think i`ll be alright with either the trxus m/t, bfg m/t, procomp m/t, or the goodyear mtrs

now i just have to chose 1 out of the 4

heres the prices

trxus m/t - $150 with $50 instant rebate
bfg m/t - $174 with $75 gift card
goodyear mt/r - $210 with nothing
procomps m/t - $159 with $50 gift card

10$/tire for shipping....

well, gentlemen, i think i have made my decision...thanks to steve kibbe, and anyone else who recommended running two sets of tires....

i can get 33x12.5 tsl`s for 156 a piece:eek1: ....sounds like a plan:D

then i will sell my tires i have now, or do a partial trade, and get some good a/ts

thank you sir:D i think you recommended the claws, but i think i would make out alot better with these...this way i have both good street tires, and good offroad tires....

Well good luck with the new tires, they will be a lot better off-road than those baja belteds

Too bad you're not closer. I have a set of almost-new 33" General Grabber MT that have been demoted to trailer tires.

Good tire. Work as well or better than a BFG, not too loud but wear a little faster.

If you dont mind noise try a Ground Hawg.

Stop being a little ninny and get boggers. You need them to make up for having such small tires. :D:wink1:

i`m actually still pondering the idea of running two sets of tires....if i do, it will probably be bfg a/ts and tsls....not sure about the boggers....

if i don`t, i`m either going trxus m/t, bfg m/t, or procomp m/t
