Installed this kit on the K5 using the JVC KT-SR2000 tuner and the JVC KS-K6012.

A little disappointed in the reception - getting a bit of static that is just audible. I have messed with different FM stations with limited success. Anyone have any tips/tricks to this setup (other than don't get the FM kit :p:)?

I am VERY happy with the home reception even with the antenna inside.

Z3PR - I need to know more about your setup please. :D

Pretty simple plug and play set up. It's controled by the headunit. Push the volume knob too change from tuner, AUX, CD, Sirius. Then touch the screen too change channel.

SO you don't need some crappy 2nd piece?

The JVC thing requires the headunit and another receiver just for the Sirius....

Thanks!

Not at all. Everthing is controled and displayed on my headunit. Makes for a nice clean dash.

I have a JVC with an AUX input and don't even use it. I have the StarMate replay and I used the kit they gave me. One is for power and the other is for the antenna. Then, I just tune it to the channel I set it to. Why didn't this work for you?

It works but it has static in the background that I can't get rid of. Also seems to require a much higher volume than CD or Radio.
