Topping this again.

Read the rules folks!

I just gave a "visitor" a 3 day vacation due to a history of rude comments that bordered on personal attacks. This site should be enjoyed by all, not just experienced experts. If think someone is going the wrong direction, you are welcome to state your opinion and offer advice, but don't insult or belittle them with rude and arrogant remarks. If this sort of thing continues, there will be more "vacations" in the near future.

LOL...

When you are viewing the picture....use your mouse to "right click" it. When the menu appears.....select "Properties" and you will see the following for that photo:

At that point, you can cut-and-paste that link into your posts (use that little "mountain" icon in the toolbar to imbed the actual picture instead of just a link to it)....

You can play around in the Test Forum to practice your craft..... :saweet:

Apparently this needs topping again. There have been several posts reported with people making arrogant "put down" comments with no information offered. The lounge is one thing, but there is absolutely NO excuse for this behavior in the "tech forums". They are meant to be a place where anyone feels free to post a question, and anyone else who thinks they have the answer to feel free to post a reply. Given the knowledge on this site, anyone posting bad information will undoubtedly be corrected by someone else. I know I have been on a few occasions where I misunderstood or had bad information or whatever. And I learned from it! That's the point guys! If you can't make a meaningful post with information to help or correct someone who makes a mistake, MOVE ON! It does not help the person who asked the question OR the person who you perceive to be wrong if you make empty comments and put downs in an attempt to show your own (rather dubious at best if that's the best you can do) superiority. And you might just be surprised to find out YOU are the one that is wrong! Or is that what you are afraid of?

Bottom line. Once or twice will probably never be noticed. And joking with your "friends" is a different matter as long as it does not get out of hand. But make a habit of it, particularly a consistent pattern of doing that, and you will be enjoying a relaxing vacation with the "band"…

If anyone tries to junk up my threads I'll put the smack down on them!!! :haha:

The personal attacks in some threads will cause some people to not even bother to look at them anymore. I don't even dare open anything that has to do with a diesel engine or a trailer! Just a bunch of trash talkin'...

ttt for the morning crew :thumb:

Don't be comin' in here now junkin' this thread up!

Just kidding, sort of. Sometimes it's just best to state your opinion (only once) and let it go at that if others have different opinions. I don't even know what happened in whatever post you are talking about, because as I stated I don't even bother to open many posts anymore. I did notice another "diesel" post was locked though. The constant argueing(sp?) makes it difficult for people like me to learn anything when I have to sift through 83 paragraphs of BS to read 3 lines of actual tech.

In case y'all haven't realized it yet......when a Mod revives this post in the Garage.....it means that someone just got a "vacation".

:deal:

When someone gets a vacation I think their title should get changed to 'On vacation'. Nothing like a little public humiliation.:D

Usually it gets changed to "banned" which is also pretty clear...

Shane, please don't even begin to rehash that thread in here. It got closed, nobody cares and it's a hi-jack. :angry1:
