Sleeping on the bench seat in a regular 2 door cab truck

the only way to sleep on the bench seat . . . . . my shop seat for friends and guests and they love it . . . its a silverado rated seat also NOT a base model . bolted to a narrow long skid i got for free and put a set of 2x4 scraps under it to lift just a hair bit more .

i do have 1 more to use if it dont go in my c-10 2wheel burn build .

maybe something like this. it should work up front.

I used to do it on every cross country trip. Stuff my seatbelts into the seat, put my bag of clothes behind my back against the door and fold my legs up a little or hang my feet out of the far window.

I typically needed to visit a chiropractor after those trips.

Last time I tried sleeping in my truck I only got maybe 2 hrs in before I couldn't stand it...and I ached BAD for days after!..I'm 6'5" tall though..

If you laid a piece of 3/4" plywood on the seat that extends up to the dash and put something under it on the floor to support it,you'll have more room to stretch out..it still will be about as comfortable as a granite slab though, even with padding ..
A cap on the bed would make a better place to snooze..

No effing way. Without a tilt wheel in a regular cab squarebody I can't drive without the steering wheel rubbing my belly with a stock bench. Even flopping to the other side I'm tall enough to touch both doors at the same time. I second the idea of an air mattress in the bed. But then again I bolted a camper to my K5 for better sleeping. I'm just that serious about sleep though. That and I can't hack sleeping in a ground tent anymore.

Pillow on passenger side, driver door open with feet hanging out. You'll need to disconnect battery or pull interior lights so you don't kill the battery.

Ive left the door open a little bit to stretch out...these trucks are not all that comfy but it works in a pinch.
