I want to take off the two square silverado badges (on rear quarter next to gas filler) to clean up and re-paint. Looks as if there are two studs or push pins holding them in place. Can these be pulled off or do I need to unbolt somehow from inner fender? Didnt want to pry too hard incase it breaks.

prob speed nuts . thin tin self cutting thread nuts . turn real slow and pull a little on the badge in that area also to help turn the nuts off them .

Mine were not speed nuts (86 K5 Silverado), they had a insert in the drilled hole, and they were just pushed in. I pryed on one side with a flat blade screwdriver, and it popped out easily. the other side came out easy as well. The front emblems are speed nuts though. :waytogo:

The badges on the rear quarter panel on all '73+ Blazers/Jimmys use a push on type attachment for the emblem (that I've ever seen). Just take a small screw driver and carefully pry them off.

Yup, that's what I was gunna say, rear push ins. So the only thing left to say is...

Badges!? We don't need no stinkin' badges!

Oh wait you'll be putting them back on :D
