Sliverado badge removal..

I want to take off the two square silverado badges (on rear quarter next to gas filler) to clean up and re-paint. Looks as if there are two studs or push pins holding them in place. Can these be pulled off or do I need to unbolt somehow from inner fender? Didnt want to pry too hard incase it breaks.

prob speed nuts . thin tin self cutting thread nuts . turn real slow and pull a little on the badge in that area also to help turn the nuts off them .

Mine were not speed nuts (86 K5 Silverado), they had a insert in the drilled hole, and they were just pushed in. I pryed on one side with a flat blade screwdriver, and it popped out easily. the other side came out easy as well. The front emblems are speed nuts though.

The badges on the rear quarter panel on all '73+ Blazers/Jimmys use a push on type attachment for the emblem (that I've ever seen). Just take a small screw driver and carefully pry them off.
