I've had my new summit cataloge sitting on the kitchen table open to the sniper just taunting me. My edlebrock carb runs like shit when trying do anything off road. I don't even have to be off camber. I know I can dial it in a little better but it would only be a little better so...... I mean......
I need to find a good step by step for idiots on this. You know one with everything from fuel tank all the way to the maifold, distributor(is HEI compatible) and ECU. I have never messed with tbi. I gota face my fears. It seems the master kit would be the wisest to get? It comes with a fuel pump and 20' of fuel line.

@tenderfoot why go external pump ? ? ? louder / less efficent . ..
swap in the newer tbi tank and sender with acdelco ep381 pump like the rest of us .

This is what I did with my fitech^^ way less noise and pumps last longer
I may sell my FITech/Boyd tank with aero motive stealth pump. Iay go back to a carb on my k5. It's cool if you like tuning electronics but I feel I could get better results with a carb even off road. Just a thought right now only bc I don't like tuning

This is why I said something. Really I just need to read a good build thread that addresses the questions I have. For some reason I'm thinking my HEI isn't going to jive? Am I right?

Why do you think that? Timing control can be separated if you want.
once the basic parameters are set 95% of it is self tuned. There is some other fine tuning that can be done if the user feels it's needed.
Don't go there. That is a slippery slope.
@Bent77 looked into using a GM HEI, not sure what was needed. As bagel mentioned already, the timing control is an option, I've done it both ways however I find those with the timing control run better.

I'll have to get back on bents build thread. I was was wading through it. I think I was almost half way. Just keep trudging through the trolling and I bet he has a write up on it in there
