So how much are square bodies worth?

That's a ton of money for a square body. But I've read several articles that they are one of the hottest movers out there right now.

There's one in Fort Collins CO now that needs paint for 13k. Could probably flip it. Steve and I talk about this every week on these stupid prices.

I remember when you could pickup a decent runner for 1500$ and all it needed was tires and a carb rebuild. Maybbeee..

I feel like this is where the GMT400 is headed, I'm super fond of these and afraid that a clean 96-98 Vortec will be be the next square.

I'd be willing to part with both my diesel squares, right now if someone had a 3/4 ton 4x4 like mine with a GAS engine and a plow,I think I'd trade both for it...sick of diesel "no cold start" BS when a blizzard is bearing down on us..

I bought almost every truck I've had for under $1000,and some were still in pretty decent condition..probably never see those days again :( .

they are almost too expensive for the every man to buy em now. i'm priced out of the market and got lucky on the last few trucks i got for a good deal. I sold em for a shitload so i am part of the problem i guess.

Older trucks often become valuable because at one time people used trucks for real work and few of them stayed pristine. That K20 is gorgeous but I don't know if it's 35 grand gorgeous...

Car collectors shy away from highly restored 4X4 square bodies because they are difficult to insure with classic vehicle specialty insurance companies. I recognize that truck. it has been around for a while.

that will change real soon if it hasn't already, look how haggerty is rating them.

I talked to a Haggerty sales rep at a Barrett Jackson show about my 1991 V3500 Crew Cab. They said they would only insure it if I drove less than 5000 miles a year...meaning it cannot be a daily driver. I think that goes for every antique and classic vehicle they insure at an appraised value.

I had coupe of things insured thru Haggerty. if you read the policy there are a lot of reasons for them not to cover you.
ended up going with Devin Wozencraft most of the stuff he does is thru Farmers
saved me a lot but more important was the coverage is better than i had and was able to cover everything, Blazer, crewcab, Boat , motorhome and umbrella that doesn't excluded anything.( Which was an issue with other insurance i had )

Collectors don't drive their investment cars more than 5K miles a year
