Poohbair said:The front springs are rear Yota springs... I am going to make a better spring pack using 3 yota main leafs, and then a few other various leafs under that. The rear springs are the Ford 57's that I used to run in my K5... I figured why mess w/ a good thing. I have always loved those 57's, and I haven't seen anyone else with them in a Yota so why not!!!

take at least 3 inches off the wheel openings.
bob the rear, truck tailgate and a can back![]()
smokkey1 said:thanks. I had a feeling thats what you were using in the front but wasn't sure about the rear. how much lift did you get out of that combo? I'm thinking around 3-4" of lift.

big dan said:not meaning to bash your rig but why would you pick a 302 over a 350? nothing against em just curious.
I run with a couple of built 'yotas on a regular basis, one with 38.5x11 Boggers and one with 37x12.50 MT/R's, and they both break frontends on a regular basis. They eventually fixed the axleshaft problems with bling Longfield joints and chromoly shafts, but then started blowing up differential stuff. One guy lost a 5.29 R&P and the other grendaded a Detroit.big dan said:not meaning to bash your rig but why would you pick a 302 over a 350? nothing against em just curious.

Poohbair said:So I took it out and played for the first time last weekend... those XZL's suck in the snow. It was POOR snow for wheelin, but all the guys w/ wide tires could get up and float. As soon as I spun a tire I would be screwed and have to get out the winch...
These pics were taken where there was just over 5' of snow
