Somebody gives me 10k and they can have my truck. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I had a guy 3 houses down who poked around at it all the time, one day after I got the rear bumper finished and he started talking figures, he said $$9,000 if I added a matching front bumper.

looked like this then..

I told him 10,000 and his 2002 superduty with the diesel and a guacamole burger.. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

then I told him to get bent /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now for 8 grand I would sell, so long as I get to keep the d-60 and thay dont mind having a blown 454 /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

then I'd buy a 'Yota frame and 22R. dual Inchworm cases, remove the bed, crappy Exo, and go wheeling.

I'd probably do a D44/D60 swap so I'd run 40's again with no chance of breaking them.

It would be fun to start over. Building is the most fun /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hmmmmmm I have had simular thoughts with a 4runner with my CTM 10 bolt with CTM's and warns and detroit rear and a FI runner. Size would be a little easier here. Weight would make towing it easier as well. It's Tube or that. Still want it good for weather so tube and full body is going to be too heavy I think.

Yeah I enjoy the build as well. That's why I'm hot to build a Burb I found for cheap. Not a wheel it's 2wd. Bit of a prerunner Dakar look to it, Cut it up into a 1987 Avalanch for fun. It's a deisel so MPG and make it my DD and park my pristine 88 burb or ditch the honda of my wifes and let her drive the nice burb. She puts on minimal miles but would drive it enough to keep it happy.

no way any of us will ever cash out on these rigs. Blood, sweat, tears, and empty bottles of Sierra do not exchange evenly with US dollars. The price point is such that it will be a immediate fix of certain finacial situations that will facilitate the future construction of said 'Yota.

If interested parties are unable to intersect where my disre to sell meets their desire to buy, I will still be in possesion of said rig and prepare in ernest for the upcoming four wheeling season.

It is a win-win situation for me.

can you tell i just got out of a meeting?

THIS IS THE TRUTH! But I remember almost 4 yrs ago, my Dad got an email from a guy in Iran or Saudi Arabia that wanted to buy our Jimmy, he said name our price and he would consider it if it was reasonable /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif We told him we weren't interested and we never heard out of him. Now the validity of that actually being a guy from Iran, I guess I'll never know... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

you are correct. i feel thru all hard work we do to our
rigs compares to actually paying a shop to do it. but sometimes you think to your self if the money is right, would you sell. i have a sand rail i built 12 years ago.
it has an original design tube framing that was bent
professional and certified welded. the thing is sharp and
it was alot of hard work. now i just tool around in it
and have been offered $6,000.00 and didnt take it. mainly
becouse my son wants it when he turns 16.
now for my k5 and s15 , i have alot more work to do.

I've been working on mine a long time, and for the right price, it's history.

Like someone said, building it is half the fun, and if you could do it all over again, there's so many things you could have done right the first time that you botched.

Hindsight is 20/20. Then again, I'd have to probably get $15k for my rig, rolled, bashed, and hacked at it sits right now, but if I knew then what I knew now, I could build an awesome rig for half what I have in mine!
