Not just drive it occasionally, but like use it to haul stuff, tow stuff, daily drive, etc etc?

We've got a lot of super capable trail rigs, truggies, and buggies on here but I want to see some pictures and hear some stories about the old beasts still earning their keep.

Just hauled two bed loads of pine branches out to the woods. Got a one or two more to do tomorrow. Gotta love it. There's still several feet of snow in places out in the woods. Big Ugly just chews through it with the locker and 38's.:D
Should have my military to civilian trailer wiring adapter next week too. I'll finally be able to tow with it!

when mine's running i put it to work, plus i DD it to school and work everyday. i've used it to haul furniture during the move, what seemed like a forest of bamboo for an event at our church, hauled wood/rocks/parts, moved around a fallen tree with it, heck it's run at the drag strip...that turned out well...VV sorry never stopped to snap pics of it on the job.

i use mine as daily driver and wheel it every wednesday. i also use it collect wood for my fire place.

Mine is also a DD, and a emergency response vehicle for fire dept. And do occasional off road driving with it

i use my m1008 everyday for work and haul coal. i haul 7 ton a year , a ton at a time to heat my home... i got the truck for a good price and it saves me lots of cash every year....

I DD and used to do some recovery with when the lil guys would get themselves stuck. I grab a load of pallets aka firewood every now and again too.

I daily drove mine for 4 years (I bought it in 05). It was my tow rig also. I use it to pull my sleds, Camaro, other people. The body is starting to get alittle crispy, so I retired it from DD duty. But it's still going to be my tow rig.

That is my one caveat, I DON'T drive it in the winter if that can at all be avoided. Two years now it's sat the entire winters safe and sound in the garage.

Did have to extricate my SIL and BIL's Explorer from my driveway just after Xmas though.

Yep :D Got it loaded up with camping and shooting stuff right now.. hitting the road early in the AM, going to have a rare nice spring weekend!!

I love my Suburban. I can keep all my crap in it all the time. I can sleep in it. It takes me anywhere I need to go, and it looks sharp.

Mine doesn't fit in that garage anymore. Even if it did, my Grand Cherokee couldn't pull 4 sleds. Hell it has a hard time with one on the two place trailer. I average 13mpg @ 70mph on the highway loaded like that, and I have the power to pass people. Winter driving doesn't bother me, since I welded the 14b it's made it even easier. The body wasn't the best when I got it either, so the salt doesn't get on my nerves to much.

I daily drove my white suburban for 2 1/2 years, hauled trash, furniture, people, whatever with it. Retired it to make it more capable off road when I couldn't afford the drive to school anymore, decided I didn't like that plan, bought a second suburban to beat on and will now be taking the white one back to stock to be more of a weekend driver/occasional offroader.

Goes hunting every year, and every weekend that I can I move junk from my old house to the new one!

No photos with my small trailer though.

This was awhile back ago. A buddy was going to need a bunch of paver's and was going to haul them in his Malibu a few at a time. I offered to help sense he needed 3300lbs!!

The look on home depots face every time we pull that thing around for a heavy load is priceless.

We moved all that with a halfton with custom springs. This is what the 10 bolt looked like inside BEFORE we did this. I have yet to pop the cover and see what it looks like now. :doah:

miss driving mine something fierce.. :(

it's only been about 15 months, but it seems like forever, after DDing it for 4 yrs...

This summer will be the hardest, but when I get laid off in July :haha::doah:, that should give me a couple months to git-r-dun by fall..

I'll be broke, but'll have plenty of time! :saweet::weld::grind:

Purty truck there mattman4x4.

Mine does fit in the garage...barely...it's the main reason I went with 1" of front lift and cutting instead of 4" of lift and trimming.

The wife's XL7 actually can handle most of our towing needs and heck, the trailer just spent all winter buried in the snow in the backyard anyways.

I've had it out in the winter, the first season I had it I had to drive it for several months when my wife was in an accident and then when my DD's alternator died and I was too busy to fix it.

I'd actually also like to replace my DD Tracker with a K5 right now but we're having difficulties and complications with that. Wife + moving + potential K5 sellers + potential Tracker buyers + other things in life + money = gah!

Baba, two years ago my wife bought two large chairs from Art Van. We went to pick them up in Big Ugly. Boy, the warehouse guys in the back where all gah gah over it. "Sorry guys, gotta go."

Mine earns it's keep every time my duramax is in for warantee work (twice in the last two weeks, doh!)

I love the truck, but don't like driving it on the street so much. With it's straight pipe, no mud flaps, and a bunch of missing / broken lights, it is a real cop magnet...

i Dd my civic back and forth to work, but i drive the truck when im off around town or wherever i gotta go. I also offroad with it, and i soon as i get it painted, gonna show it off as a restored military vehicle..
