Somebody here is tracking Chalets...not sure if this one is accounted for?

Spotted one for sale in Edmonton Alberta Canada.@a77blazerchalet

Always appreciate the heads-up on these where ever they are. On this one, my otherwise half-baked Google Alerts setup functioned right instead of giving me spam site hits to look at. Problem is, what the seller has there is not a Chalet but is instead the aftermarket Sportsman slide-in for Blazers that was made in British Columbia. I attempted to email the seller yesterday via the Kijiji messaging system about that and how Sportsmans aren't common either, so it would benefit him to advertise it by that brand name.

Not to pollute the thread, but assuming everything in the ad and pictures is true, that is one clean original rig, and I bet a lot of good memories.

That looks like the one from my neck of the woods that went for $1500 and then was on eBay a week later for $5K.

The SF Bay one turns out to be Chalet #0579 built in 8/76. And the seller hiked the price from $16500 to $22 grand. Runaway inflation strikes again .....

You are correct, sir. The Chalet Spy Service has your back. This one is Chalet #1037 built in 10/76 was first seen (I'm reasonably sure) in a pair of back-to-back July 2016 Nashville ebay listings here and here with "winning" bids of $3,050 and $1,525, then it showed up in a Craigslist ad a week after that for $2,000. In April of this year it was in a Franklin TN Craigslist ad for $1500, then it got listed again on ebay three times out of Olive Hill, Kentucky -- I can't get the first link to work, but the second & third ones work, where it had a displayed price of $4999 for the first two, which were bid up to $1310 and $610, and a BiN price of $3250 which is what it ended on.

Go figure. The thing about its latest Missouri Craigslist ad is that it is using the same photos from the May Kentucky ebay listings.

Many thanks for that! Doesn't at first glance appear to be one I have in my mega-spreadsheet list. Sic'd one of my pals on it who wants to buy one, he may come back later with the serial # for it ....

Saw a post on IG with this one, apparently the son of the original owner has it now. He said he would take $15K, that was posted today.

Chalet #1248 built in 11/76. This new seller marked it up $1270 from its June ebay sale without apparently doing anything to it.

DUDE HE OWNED ONE!!!! that is something :haha:

on a serious note - I would send him a message and tell him you want a Carfax. then say.. wow it has had a TON of owners.. your overpriced...

Here is one that just popped up by St. Louis. Looks like there is another one in the background.
Scroll back to comment #49 in this thread, this one here is that one there, Chalet #1037. The other one in the background is Chalet #0480, which popped up again on ebay for the 9th time via its Olive Hill Kentucky seller. For some odd reason, the K-City Mo seller is using photos to sell his #1037 that came from its previous seller, who was selling both of these a while back. You can see #0480 lurking in the background in his ebay listing for #1037 here.

While I'm here at the moment: https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/d/very-rare-1977-chevy-k5/6389867012.html

That one is actually a '76 model, Chalet #0299 built in 7/76. Apart from the upgraded LED (or whatever's trendy these days) headlights and driving lights, and perhaps some other stuff somewhere, this one looks identical to how it was listed in the May 2016 El Paso Craigslist ad where I first saw it listed for $8500.

Inflation, or something.
