Somebody here is tracking Chalets...not sure if this one is accounted for?

Unbelievable to me, but I guess some folks have more money than they know what to do with. I can see 35, but 125? For that much, you'd be scared to drive it around!
You know this guy will not be driving it around except maybe a car show.
He probably has it in a garage climate controlled behind glass for viewing pleasure

I knoe it is a gmc.. someonementioned it... is this someone here asking tag number?
That would be me, in pursuit of filling in my mega-spreadsheet of every one of these I can find/am alerted to. Definitely a Casa Grande from the stripes on the camper unit as well. Thanks for sharing here!! I don't readily recognize it from just the one photo, and that particular FB group is private enough not to show posts, so if you are able to glean as many photos out of it as possible along with snagging the serial number/build date and maybe also the VIN, I'd be most grateful for that. Attached pic to use if the folks over there don't know where the SN plate is. (FYI, my former #1747 rig is still unsold by the Florida guy who is I think the 7th owner after I sold it in 2010; the relative listing it for him told me to buzz off about the actual 122k+ miles on it and other info I offered to share of what I fixed on it)

I see you already asked about the # :) but posting here none the less.
The more who know about these, the better for everyone! Yep, #0579, I saw it for the first time in a 2017 San Leandro CA (across the bay from San Francisco) Craigslist ad by a grandson of the long-time owner. Said it was his grandpa's fishing truck. Ocean fish? That might account for the rust issues in it. That seller back then never answered my emails about it, but one of my pals who was a potential buyer extracted photos out of the guy for the serial number plate and truck VIN. This BaT listing is the first time I've seen the back of the rig, with its "South Penn AAA Motor Club" sticker. I wonder where that is at?

Knowing AAA from my tow days i think southern pa area . And internet search quick pulls up a lot of the same .
You are correct, and my own Google search efforts will improve when I stop entering typos. South Penn AAA seems to be based in Chambersburg, PA. Might either indicate that the above Chalet #0579 currently for sale in the BaT Auction had a PA owner who moved to CA, or it might indicate that there was one more owner in its history who lived in PA. It's claimed to have only 3 owners, the two latest ones being short-term ones.

Not sure if you’ve seen this one or not ....
I have seen the rig, it's the incorrectly repainted #1457 previously seen within this thread at post #312 and also in the Jan 2020-specific thread here. But I have not seen this latest Cadillac Michigan ad listing, which I thank you very much for! It's part of the ongoing saga of that one - another K5 spotter who has login access to the Mecum Auction system helped to confirm that it was a no-sale, reserve-not-met result, bidded up to $42 grand at the Kissimmee Mecum auction. So, it's a head scratcher at the moment as to whether the person previously listing it in Florida still owns it, or if it was bought by somebody who thought it would bring big bucks at that auction, and is now trying another venue to sell it at.

#556 for sale in Strausburg CO.
Thanks! ...... and still for sale after 6 weeks, it should also be noted. The seller is a bit optimistic on his price, considering its condition. Meanwhile, Chalet #0058 was stalled at $15,100 yesterday in its 2nd reserve-price auction, but I see it jumped up today to over $17 grand.

Thanks for the update! That's my former #1747. The update here is the seller has finally dropped the price $4 grand after 17+ weeks on FB Marketplace:
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/593545211872841/ . He's got quite a ways to go before he hits the real-world value for it ....

The other rig in the background is #1677 ( https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1331938470594903/ ) with the '76 model year roof off of Chalet #0505. He's dropped the price on that one only $2 grand over the same span of time, but that kind of damage to the roof with a non-original replacement is a value-killer. Long story to this owner and the relative(s) selling it for him, the guy bought three of these on sheer impulse without doing a lick of research on the relative values of 'em all or their sales histories. He apparently lucked out in selling the repainted (non-original color) Casa Grande #1457 for break-even or maybe a small profit to the next guy who put too high of a reserve on it at the Mecum Kissimmee auction. The relative(s) selling my former #1747 told me to take a hike when I offered to share the improvements I made to it when I owned it, and claimed FB doesn't allow them to alter the mileage to the proper 122,000+ figure.

Well here's one, Frankensteined together though...#1519
Thanks! I spotted his other week-before listing of it, and my Google Alerts email thing did manage to pick up the listing you found and alert me to it (more often than not, Google misses these, which is why I rely on many of you guys to catch 'em).

This one appeared last year around this time in a Coeur D Alene Craigslist ad under (I assume) the prior owner, who didn't share its camper unit serial number. Took me two email tries with the current seller, and likely others also asked about it -- he replied back with its number while also adding a pic of the serial number plate to his ad here. It's another new one for my mega-spreadsheet list that fills the gap between #s 1517 and 1521.
