I went with the Lockright in my 60, so I'll see how that compares to the D27.
At any rate, unlocking the hubs has never been a big deal to me...
I think the point of this is when on an easy, but tight and twisty, part of the trail you can simply shift into 2wd and get easier/better turning, then shift it into 4wd when needed again. Stopping for a second and moving the shifter is a lot easier and faster then getting in and out the vehicle to lock in both hubs. Not like stopping to lock in the hubs is a huge deal, but doing it frequently on the trail can get old.....or finding out you need 4wd in the middle of some mild muddy ruts or the middle of a small hill and have to get out to lock the hubs.
