He just got that one, it was a TX truck, then the PO moved to Atlanta. My brother flew down and drove it back 700ish miles , no problems :woot: (I was on call with a trailer , just in case ) its a sweet rig, basicly zero rust :waytogo:

Agreed, that thing is clean. I was looking at a Waggy before I got my K5, but it was a little beat. They're definitely cool though

Thanks for positive comments guys! Im really excited to have found a waggy in such good condition. My brother already has me on right track with this project and is a great source of info. The last ten years or so I've been tinkering with Audi's and VW's so I am out of my knowledge base with 4x4's right now. Josh is helping to correct that

Anyhow, between now and June we will get this thing dialed in and hope to be able to keep up with K5's at the creek the best I can.

June 9th & 10th guys!!! Thanks to everyone who either responded in the threads or PM'd me... I apologize to anyone it doesn't work for, not trying to exclude anyone. I hope to see as many people out there as possible! Now get to work, you have 5 months so no excuses!!!!:haha:

Lol....I come back from florida on the 9th at midnight:doah:. Ill see what i can do to get there on the 10th for sure, although thats long enough to get everything ready to go.:D

You should post a build thread on here once you get started...

Yup. X2. Even if it is a Jeep it's not the standard or popular Jeep that everyone builds.

Did you see the Grand Waggy on the cover of the latest 4WOR? That thing looked sick. Low lift with big tires. Simple and effective.

nice wagoneer.my buddy just junked one about 5 years ago.the floors and seat mounts were like the flintstonemobile.the rear seat you could use like a rocking chair.lol.the front had just enough so your feet could sit under the pedals.i dont know how it was inspected every year prior to him gettin it.had the 360 and torqueflight tranny.ran strong but with the floors the way it was,he didnt want to do the work to get it safe again.
9th and 10th sounds like a plan.we need to figure out a place to meet since a few of us live close and maybe ride out together.everyone should think about getting a cb as well so we can talk on the trail and on the way out.you can get a cheapy like mine for 25 bucks.its a cobra 19 but it goes about 2 miles.anybody that needs help with anything post up and we will get you runnin and ready.im so excited to be doin this.its been 5 years since ive wheeled this big ol bastard.

I bought that mag for him while he was driving it home :D, when I saw the cover and then realized it had a Cummins in it , I had to egg him on

I would be down for a group ride out there, if you guys wanna meet up and drive out together.

we could meet somewhere in allentown.its pretty much somewhere in the middle and on the way to go out to 78.theres the bandit truckstop as soon as you hit 78 past rt 100.im going out that way friday afternoon/night so i can get set up and maybe hit the casino and be there early to get started on saturday.

I'm probably out if it's June 9th and 10th. I don't know if I can get that weekend off.

Im in but it may unfortunately be with the jeep. I don't know how the blazer would do out there since its set up more as a mud truck.
