Squarebody CHOP Shop

I knew that's what it was because we're in the same boat here at the office and at home.

Comcast sends us solicitations all the time. We get excited because we think maybe there's a new connection, call them. Nope, we don't service your area.

They offered to install, if we paid for the fiber optic. With a straight face they asked for $15K. :haha:

Have Viasat now, better than my neighbor's Hughes net, but looking forward to better options.

Hope it works as advertised kennyw.

That's true, we can pay to have service put in. I think you actually get reimbursed if other people utilize the connection further down the road in the future. We're in an industrial area and there are only a 2 or 3 other potential users. It will never be profitable for them to put it in on their dime.

I know a few people with Starlink already that love it. Viasat is more expensive than Hughesnet but not even available out here.

First upgrade in the house. The wife was putting up with the old range that burned out half the elements so I decided to replace the set. Ram into one issue with the exhaust vent being 1 inch further back on the new microwave. I need to dremel out the back of the cabinet bottom flush to the back wall since my saws do not fit.

I am very happy with the new internet service so far. Tomorrow I need to grab some things at the hardware store and build a permanent mount for the dish though. I just have it sitting in the yard so far.

I am jealous, I have windstream out here which is the only provider unless I went with Hughs, Dish or the like. Poka Lambro, which is a local telephone co-op laid a fiber optic line across the right of way in front of my house but every time I call they say it is not available yet. now I am moving.

my download speed was 3.31 when I checked it

You took out a double oven, and replaced it with a single?

Martin
Yes, we don't need two ovens and half of the old one was burned out, one dead burner in the cook top as well. The new oven has air dryer that eliminate a counter top air fryer that takes up space as well.

Do you know anyone else using it? Considering getting in line for Starlink here at the shop, but I was curious what the overall feedback has been for the service.

A friend of mine has it at his remote property and loves it. I would recommend it as well. Better to get in line now though as it will be 1 year plus wait.

Today's challenges. Unloading a container from my car trailer without damaging anything. Lifting one end with the excavator and the other end on a wide beam the trailer was able to drive out. Then my friend's forklift picked up the other end and we moved out up the hill into a temporary position.

After that we set up the old dump bed to get picked up on Tuesday.
