My trans mount was different than what you have in the cart. 3.1129G

I’ll take a better look when I get home. Yours is a single piece. Mine has two separate mounts, if I remember correctly. I will double check later

Poly and rubber mounts are two different styles depending on the year.

73-84 share the same mounts as shown in the pics above. These are on the flat crossmembers with tall adaptors.
85-91 are a one piece mount which are used on the W-shaped crossmembers with short adaptors.

Here is what I have. I take it, the ones I put in my cart from summit will suffice for my truck?
The ones on my truck are gooey and cracked. Need replacing.

These just slide out for replacement? I dont need to remove the cross member, right?

you have the right mounts in your cart from summit. Remove the 2 bolts, lift the transmission/T-case, slide the old mount out, slide the new ones in.

What he said ^^^^^^^^

Ordered the mounts up should be here friday. I tightened the pan bolts a bit more. I know its a long shot but maybe, just maybe, Ill get lucky and the weeping will cease or at least lesson a bit. I figure its worth a shot before I drop another $150 bucks for a new pan, gasket and fluid.

Im sure Ill be back to post 90000 times once the mounts arrive.

What is or where does that smaller black piece go?

What black piece? The square piece of poly with a hole in it? Goes on the bottom side of the crossmember.

Hahahah, yes. My present one has nothing on the bottom so I was a bit confused where that piece went. Hopefully my bolts are long enough.

Dusting it with something like corn starch or baby powder after cleaning it will make it easier to figure out where the leak originates from..poor man's UV leak detection substitute!..

Heck there has been no mention of Tranny mounting.

Derail over.

Update:
Replaced old rubber tranny mounts energy suspension polyurethane mounts...

Easy to fix....pop off the bail clip, pull the cover off...clean the cover and replace the
o-ring...little bit of sealer...tap the cover back in place and reinstall the bail clip.

be careful the governor doesn't slide out with the cover off...

one more thing to check is the vent on top of the trans...if clogged, it can cause all kinds of havoc...leaking seals, blown out dipsticks, gasket leaks etc..

Edit: And for God's sake...toss the sheet metal pan!! get a good cast aluminum pan, new bolts and gasket. They seal 200% better and even stiffen up the case...
all good reasons to switch !!!

Can you link the O ring? I havent been able to source it

Chalk another one for an aluminum deep pan. I try to swap these in anything I own. Stamped steel just doesn't quite do the job.

Use Vaseline on both sides of the gasket. Don't ask me but I've been told to use it and it's been a trick of the trade with tranny builders.
How much vaseline? Just smear a thin coat with my finger?
