Does anybody make a "soft ride" rear stock height spring?

I always see "soft ride" springs but they are lift springs.

I did my rear suspension setup, and while ID really like to do another set of ORD springs, its a bit much to swing another $700 plus shipping in leaf springs.

I actually have been thinking of just linking the rear instead of buying ORD springs.

But has anybody ever heard of some "SOFT" stock height rear 52s?

This is the rear suspension in question, with ford raptor shocks, fox 2.0 air bumps, and stock 52s sitting in a DIY4X shackle flip with 6" shackles.

Ive never seen any soft rides that are stock height, however pro comp does have some 280lb/in springs that apparently offer an inch of lift. I saw them on summits website. part # 13311 :dunno:

I wonder if I just used 4" shackles instead of 6"....

Rene keeps telling me how much he liked Ford f150 rear springs.
Can`t remember how long they are but you don`t have to move the front hanger. You already got Ford shocks!

I run these springs on the front of my rig now. With the BBC on them they ride pretty nice, I can't comment on how they'd ride in the rear though. FYI the pins are offset too......

The 57's? I run those in the rear and they're butter with the overloads removed. Avery runs them too. Pins are offset on them as well.

Yeah that's them 57s

Yeah that's them 57s

I'd imagine they would be good in the sand. I'd just be concerned with the longer length and offset pin creating issues for him after all that work he's done already.

How far is the pin off from the factory Chevy springs?

I'll see if I can find a picture.

Edit- Here's a pic of them next to the 52's that were on the truck, tonight I'll measure them.......

Hmmmm I like this. I have spring perches with 3 locating holes, so I would have some room to adjust to get it to all work I think...

What year springs?

Fair enough! :doah:
Or the center pin be moved that woldnt be to hard to do.
Might be a good idea for someone else's rig...but maybe not Adams!?

I want to say the truck I grabbed them from was a 93 or 94? IIRC it was the 92-97 years that I was looking for.

I would probably get OEM replacement ones if I could. I would imagine they could be had for a few hundred bucks? :dunno:

Have you considered 63s Adam? It will be more work. My buddy that does pre runners sys on a cheap rig it's the go to spring for alot of guys

I have considered it. That would be more involved. I was thinking of trying something that I can just bolt in to the setup I already have, and run it. Before I go about redoing the rear, AGAIN..... :haha:

I will run the 52s I have in there now. I just know that they will die running 4.5 inches of bump travel on them.

That's what I`m going to do...Rene says to use the Ford springs, but I already got a set of spare 63s off a Duramax plus Rene's old blazer tank.

And I don`t have to redo anything because I haven`t done anything yet! :haha:

All ya gotta do is frame mounts. That way everything goes back in place exactly where it was

I wonder what raptors have in the rear. I see leaf spring for sale from them all the time....
