Ha Ha...did you say skills? Thanks alot, I am learning as i go, Only thing i can toot my horn about is building engines, and i bought a crate so thats of no use.
A few shots of some bodywork progress. This is going to be all for a while as the engine in my 96' Tahoe has decided enough is enough and i will be busy swapping in a new longblock.
After many many gremlins were dealt with the tahoe now has a brand new running engine, I got rid of the old Dodge and i can finaly get back into the swing of things with this k5 of mine. Weather is just right too...Nice and cold, I can work all day in some thermals and jeans, sweatshirt, etc....But the damn southern heat and humidity was just no fun at all.
Snapped a few pics of the progress on the body. The guy is making slow but steady progress which is fine with me. He makes a living doing collision work and this is just something he thought would be fun to do.
Just for a comparison i am posting some "before" shots as well. Makes me feel kinda crappy that somone else is doing the metal and body work on the truck, but i felt that the work this thing needed was not a good starting point.

Nice to see it moving again. I know those little stalls seem to last a lot longer than we intend them too. I've almost got my frame completed and hope to be putting the tub back on in a couple ok few weeks. Hea did you ever deal with that windshield frame yet?

Not yet, The body and frame are still not together, and in 2 differant locations due to limited space.
The body "Should" be ready in a few weeks though.

Yeah man i may have to do that, gonna need some extra arms to get the body on the frame. Plus i am always down to help a man get away from Inlaws. Mine live only 45min away so i know the pain all to well.

Dave, many pages back you mentioned you got the 6" front lift springs form carparts.com. I checked there several times and they have the EZ-rides for about $270/pair. Real good price. My question is that are they really from Tuff Country and labeled as so on the spring packs?
