After two years here in Cali, between training, Afghanistan and life the Blazer has been waiting patiently at the In-Laws house in NC.
Will be flying there for a three month school and will have a chance to see her again and get her up and running.
Already part shopping and it feels good.
I left her with a too large, gummed up carb, leaking oil cooler set-up, an electric fan with a bum t-stat which Is rigged to run full time not letting the engine get to temp, aaaaaand a 700r4 that's TQ converter locks in after 1st gear and it wont hold OD, It needs some sort of Mod that I forgot about in order to get things running smoothly.
So....
#1: Called JET today and got quoted for a custom made Quadrajet for my specific engine/tranny/drivetrain. So that will go on there.
#2: piecing together stainless braided lines, AN fittings for a better, leak free, and pretty looking oil cooler set-up.
#3: buying a t-stat for the electric fans
#4: Then taking it into the tranny place to get hooked up.
Father In-Law has tons of tools and is excited as I am.
Then it will be 3 months of Southeast spring/summer driving!
