Hey thats pretty darned cool...are they really worth much of a power gain? Do they look like an actual header?
Original Poster,
I don't exactly know what you plan on gaining from a new exhaust but I am familiar with pickups like mine.
When I go with a performance exhaust, I will be trying to lower the exhaust gas temperatures, promote more flow, add a nice looking exhaust, and have a nice performance diesel sound. Mainly the flow and EGT drop most importantly.
My point is, is that if I was going to spend money on a setup I would use a diesel exhaust, inluding a diesel muffler, so I get the best results for my modification. Those dual flowmasters may help some but (correct me if I'm wrong) a flowmaster designed for a gas engine does provide a fair amount of back pressure, gas engines like that. I would think that would just be added restriction behind a diesel since they pretty much prefer no back pressure. I would think a good strait through diesel muffler would provide better EGT's and power gains over dual gas mufflers. Maybe not though.
