Stuck at Moab in Kane creek...

time to drain / rinse / fill diffs - tcase - tranny .

and tranny don't drive to much if the fluid is NOT just red . if at all pink or milky color don't drive it. water will kill a auto .

Parking it tomorrow. Got the jk back from the shop. Going out in that tomorrow with the guys who rescued us today. Monday am getting everything changed. Power steering is the only thing acting funny.

Great to hear Rich....nicely done!

Glad you (and the dog :waytogo:) made it out ok :woot: I was really having a tough time figuring out how I would be able to make it to Utah to help you and still be home for work Monday night ................................................. so is it too soon to ask if you wished your winch worked

First, you know I don't have to be at work on Monday.

Second. Yes haha. But I wouldn't have had the same adventure. And honestly I could have got really in a bad/dangerous situation if I had made it further. Did I say in this thread there was a truck that had rolled off a 100 foot cliff on the way out?

Glad you made it out. I'm about 6 hrs west down I-70, just before denver if you need a hand on the way home.

Thanks everyone for offering a hand in the way home. I want to shoot south around 50 to get some different scenery. I love my 6.2 and I hope it won't let me down.

That truck has been in that canyon for years.

Unless it is a new one.

There is one on the way into Hey Joe Canyon, upside down and flat. But if you look close, no engine and trans. I swear the tour companies push those off in the night to have a good story.

It did not look old. I can see your point, but I don't think anyone would push a truck off here. There is a trail below it could have landed on and an atv bridge at the bottom it could have taken out. I have pictures on my camera. I'll post them up when I'm back in Boston.

yea, I was on that ATV bridge a few years ago and it was not there then. we went up Pritchett and back on Kane Cr. to make a loop. it did seem that Kane Cr. had gotten a little more difficult than it was say, 10 years ago. we also had no problem finding the trail, so things have changed there.

that rig on the shelf below the Hey Joe kind of looked to be 50's vintage to me...

Transmission and t-case took on water. I'm getting those changed. Diffs and everything else are clean. I have to go to full synthetic in the trans. It's all they have.
