Stuck oil filter! WTF Never seen one so stuck

you'll get it. The filter on my truck was on for roughly 11 years, maybe 12 :doah:
Wow! Hopefully a better chisel and hammer combo a long with a little heart from the new heat gun will make all the difference. I'm really anxious to drive the truck after the tune up it was a little more sluggish than it should have been. After removing the frayed and cut Spark plug wires, Spark plugs that looked like they'd been in the motor for years, an air filter so dirty it was black, and a fuel filter with half an inch of crud in it I can tell why!

sounds familiar.....

You may want to add a glass in-line fuel filter so you can see if any other crap is pulled from the tank.

I put a clear wix filter in it. That's what was in it before also.

Right on.

I just mentioned the glass filter because you can take them apart, clean them and slide a new screen in them. I did that several times before I threw in the towel and replaced the tank, pickup, pump and blew out the lines. Hopefully you don't have the same issues.

#1 tune-up improvement, if everything is working.. running without a misfire, not starved for fuel, etc, is ALWAYS spark pluge.... I probably do 100 sets a yr on the boats, and when they're hammered, you'll see noticeable improvements across the board in performance with a new set..

they hold up better in recent yr's with the MPI tho.. the old carb'd motors that we'd fog every fall would f*ck em all up... :haha:

They definitely needed to be changed! I also need to check my distributor it seems to want to spin in the motor.
