supermotard's 74 Jimmy "Magdalena" Build Thread

It doesn't need bondo but it might not be "Showroom" quality, but definately Trail quality

Minor update, it looks TRAZER "ish" getting that bed on probably wasnt a one man job since my hoist does lift high enough but it's on still got to make some minor tweaks.

Awesome!

I'll admit, I love seeing other guys wives in "uniform" working on the truck!!!:waytogo:

Checked out your thread and couldn't stop till I went through it all:bow:

Great Job!
I think it would go faster with more help from your little woman.

Looks good Superbro.:waytogo:

You know I'm just a phone call away and will come help any time you need it.:thumb:

Are going with OD green?

Do you need some mirrors and lock tumblers?

Ok im confused. Did i miss somrthing? Whats with the trazer? Did you strip the jimmy apart or is this a different rig?

He got a free truck and swapped some parts. cab swap, shortened the bed, switched to the rebuilt the automatic tranny etc...

He calls it a trazer but it's more like a Trimmy.

I got the old doors (my 1/2 doors)

Now they don't have to wear snow suits to drive out to the desert.

I'm confused as well ,why would you ditch a nice Full-vert ??????

I'd dont get the whole trazer thing seems to me you are ditching the only good things about a blazer/jimmy , the extra interior space and removable roof.

The work looks good though, :waytogo:

I jimmy was pretty badly rotted an the top was no better the wife hated freezing on the way too an from the trail. But the reason I love blazers so much is the wheel base an size of the rig. It is still a jimmy in spirit with some new skin. That's all

Weird, the short wheelbase is what I hate about my Blazers.

Martin, did you recently send a square body to the junkyard? We saw one this weekend that had your name & number on it.

So here's the todo list. The whole left side is things todo before I go wheeling and the right is the start of what's left on the front axle. Lucky for me I have a great friend coming over to help crush the todo list to a minimum. Fingers crossed.

The wife got me some 1000lb capacity per self, shelves that really helped me start organizing my disaster-piece I call a garage.
