ok,so I´m actually getting something done with the burb,it started as a 87 k10,350/700/208/10b/10b and was sold new in sweden, wich you can tell by the rust,he-he.
plans are d60/14bff and some 47"LTB´s,the rest will have to fall in place as I go
Rust repair. Looks like no fun. What is the purpose of the frontend shortenting? Pushing the front suspension and tires out as far as you can away from the body?
I started with a slight chopping on the front sheetmetal, aprox 6",cut the hood in the back and re-attached the mounting points for the hinges, cut off the bottom of the radiatorsupport.
also had to cut out some to fit the rad.
inner fenders more or less fell out when the bolts in the rad sup came out
with 47" and moving the axle forward some on the springs, nothing will stick out n front of the tires = 90degre aproach angle
I´ve started hacking the rear too,as the rear sheetmetal will be 31" shorter when done, rear springs will be moved 6"forward,and in under the frame, rear axle will be moved back on the springs, how much will be determined later on.I cut off the rear end in pieces small enough to be handled on my own, without braking my back.got 4
...got 4 9,75x16,5" rims, wich turned out to be just 8,25" wide,I got 4 rings rolled from cold rolled steel plate that are 100mm wide,a tad under 4",and got one rim almost done this weekend, also got the axles inside and started cleaning them up a bit.
