1/4" coldrolled steel

I wasn´t pleased with the hight of the fueltank,so yesterday I cut off the old mounts, and started on some new ones,as usuall,I ran out of gas for my welder,so I could not finish.
but got far enough to testfit the tank in its new location, some 140mm lower, was way better.no pic though...

Last news for 2012, got the new diesel engine home, and today I managed to get the pallet of my truck, took 2,5 hrs without any help or lifting equipment. Weighed the truck before and after, with pallet and Misc. The weight was 1300 lbs

Very Cool build!

This thing is Sweet!!
Another Burb build----Awesome!

I have a friend in Sweden that said trucks like ours (referring to mine while he was here visiting) are totally illegal and unheard of over there...??

Nice to see that they do exist!!!:waytogo:

Most People dont know how to get them registered and inspected correctly, no biggie if you know what you re doing. Sadly there are many poorly built trucks out there.

I just found this thread by searching google!! This thing is prett unique. It's cool to see what people come up with when they are doing everything themselves. Pretty cool. Any new updates??? It's been a while.

I have a question about this pic too....:

Why is the spring perch bolt whole so off-center on the perch? And in turn (which looks like it was caused b/c of the off-center bolt whole on the spring perch), why is the center pin of the spring so far off on the spring plate? I can't seem to figure out why this is and what benefit there is :dunno:. It seems like axle wrap would occur badly with this set up.

This thing is sweet btw :waytogo:

The axle are moved back 3 1/2" on the springs to get 90º departure angle, I'm still running the overloads so that will help on the wrap issue, but I'm considering some antiwrapbars, haven't decided on a design yet though.

I like it! I have an 87 burb with the exact same paint, building something VERY similar soon....
