Swettysblazer's 1991 K5 Trazer: ONE TONS!

Ain't any worse than outside the frame rails on a truck....

How would you do a fuel pump? Inline or sump it?

Interesting... I know my dad's old ford had the tank behind the seat. I'd have to figure out a way to plumb the filler neck and everything but thay wouldn't be too bad. Thanks for the ideas guys.

I started a pump thread about a month or so ago. It came down to buying a few "oem" ones so you have a trail spare and theyre cheap. I hear great things about walbro but theres apparently a lot of fakes out there.

On the tank...Could you just make or have made a stainless tank? Thats what i think im going to do...

I'm running a carter for my tbi setup. I can see if I can locate the part number if you want. Will soon change though when I go 5.3

I would just run the tank you already have & just move it. That way you don't have to buy a new pump as well. Keep the tank out of the cab, you are going to want all the room you can get in there

This is a good point. You're losing most of your available cab space with this swap. There's a reason that I'm going the other direction (from a K10 to a K5). Interior space is nice.
