Frame is striped of everthing. Just wasn't sure it would get to this point ever. Should be glosssy black by this time next week. :D This should be a busy saturday get everthing ready for paint.

Nice! The whole bare frame thing always intimidated me.

At this point I think the worst of it should be over. I think I was more scared about getting the stuff back on the firewall and under the dash, all back and working right then this. This part is just hard on my back, S**t these parts are heavy.

The frame is going to get painted. That way if something ever happens to it it can be touched up. Springs and all the smaller parts are getting powdercoated.

Wow, looks great. Again, I envy your enthusiasm and patience to take THAT much stuff apart. Yours will truly be a dealership time capsule, except that it looks like it's going to be even better than new.:thumb:

yup, I'm generally not a fan of powdercoated frames.... at least on trucks.....

Spent the day get part ready, blasted, cleaned up. Got a big mess of part every where. Frame should be in primer in the morning. Axles still need some more cleaning before paint. Got springs and other small parts ready to go to the powdercoat shop. Wow, today was a long hard day, but did make progress.

It's gonna look sweet when you start assembly though....you'll see the results of this weekend's work and be happy you did it.

bet that was a busy weekend!

what primer/paint did ya run??

Not sure on the brand of primer, it was an etch primer with corrosion protection.
Paint was dupont nason single stage urethane

I placed an other order with ORD today.

New u bolts for my zero rates
1" body lift
polyurethane body mounts
and swaybar bushings.

Now I should have everything to get frame and axles back under the body. Just need to finish the paint work.

Drop off the leaf spring, tank shield, and a basket of small parts at the powdercoat shop this afternoon. Then the big brown truck showed up with my ORD order.

Is that just the stock replacement body mount bushings or are you going to ad some body lift to it. I plan on using the poly body mount bushings on mine but I am not sure if I want to put the two inch body lift on it as well or not.
