70's for quiet cruising.
been driving hotrods for 30 yrs now.. a ton of hotrods... exhaust has always been a balance of keeping it sane but nasty.. it's varied over the years from headers, glasspacks and turndowns to duals with a x-over and 50's..
I miss the old days when it was not much of a big deal, driving nasty stuff around.. I mean fock, Harley's have come stock loud as he!! forever.. nowadays they'll take $783 and your first born for running open headers......
but anyway, I wouldn't want anything bigger than a 50 series on a modified vehicle.. it's tame enough, but still sounds somewhat menacing when into the loud pedal... and it's a pretty large muffler as is, the super quiet stuff is too large for my logistical liking...

Is that from experience?![]()

I don't even know if that's one that's still on the books....I did get a ticket in that era for "intentional loss of traction" for doing a wheelie in my duster in front of a cop car....![]()

Hey Paul, is that like the fast and furious episode where they do a burnout and a wheelie at the same time during the 40 second long 9 second pass? You didn't have any intake bolts pop out of your floorboard did you?

(I'm just messin', I believe you had a car that could wheelie)
I was grateful to be getting that as opposed to reckless...

Man, I cant even fathom being able to have a custom, mandrel bent, stainless exhaust. Blows my mind just thinking about it!
I figured WTF at this point.
