Teck's '86 K5 Build -5.3 LS/4L65E swap

Could always do what would make your truck perfect to me anyway and lower it down to 4"-6" lift on 35's or so if the worst comes to worse.

There are way too many trucks out there with 8"+ of lift to need to lower his truck just to insure it. I'm not sure what the issue is at the moment, but it's got to be doable. My insurance agent told me to insure it for a higher value to get it appraised and they'd just increase the amount. They didn't seem to care that it was lifted or anything, just that I had more in it than "stock" and that it was worth more to me than $5,000.

Finally found an insurance company that will insure my Blazer. Now that they approved the coverage, I just need to pay and its covered. Agreed value was lower then I wanted be it Is the best I have found so far.

Got the new knuckle installed

Do you plan on trimming the u-bolts down some? I dont think they look bad, but with all the flawlessness, my eyes are drawn to the u-bolts.

Thought about it. That is one of those little things I may do later.

WTF ORD send 3 fine thread and 1 coarse thread lock nuts for the studs. Studs are coarse thread. Now I Have 3 ruined studs for my steering block and arm. Who would think to check this that close. They started and where lock nut so I didn't think that much about it. then figured out they weren't going on right, but it was to late. Tried to fix them but that didn't work. Talked to them this morning about this, now I will see what they will do about it in the morning. They did say can you grind them down or cut them off. to save them. I am sure they don't have clue what I'm working on, cause that wasn't going to be the way I was going to fix them.

Now I'm waiting again to be able to drive it!

Did get the drag link ends from ORD tonight. Just finished painting them.

Here is how the crossover steering turned out.

Now just waiting on new studs to finish it.
I will also be cutting the unbolts off so they didn't hit, may clear but looks like it will be way to close if I don't.

And after looking at some pics of the crossover looks like I need to put the drag link in the other hole. May let it clear better but I think I will still remove the unbolts and cut them shorter.

Thanks, I will move it in the morning, it's just stuck in there for now not tight.
How much trouble is it to adjust to get the steering wheel straight?

You have to pop one of the ends off and adjust... Kind of a pain.

You have done a awesome job. I only hope to have mine like yours one day. Let's see it on the rode now!!!!
